Welcome To GTP Blue Optics!

:D Thanx guys. But it's me, Jubula! I registerd this new screen name because my brother has my comp ATM, and I am using my moms computer(which is really really slow):banghead:

Um, why'd you register the new name? You know you can use the same username from any computer, right? Just log-in...:odd:

yes i would. this computer is reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyy sloooooooooooooow. I have to use GTP lite and i didnt want to change my settings on my other screen name.

You do realize that changing to GTP lite takes, about... 8 seconds. And re-registering takes, let's say... 3 minutes. Do you?

I fail to see the logic in that... I agree with snoopie. It takes around 10 to 15 seconds; if that. oh well, now you have two names, I guess. Welcome to GTP again!

Erm...slow Jubula? Like 56K?

Odd...my connection runs at 28K, yet I'm still using full GTP with no problems at all...

No no no! Not the internet connection. This computer has a DSL line. It's the computer that is incredibly sloooooowww. Not the connection.

well if it's the PC that's slow, that has nothing to do with GTP...GTP is online...

Generally, the speed of the computer doesn't make much of a difference... sure, if the browser is bloated (can anybody say Netscape?), then it might go through somewhat of a slowdown, but still, unless you've got 1MB of RAM installed on your machine... anyway, you've heard enough scolding, so I'll leave it at that. ;)

BTW, I can whoop all of your a***s in Internet speed... I top out at 26.4k. :p

Oh man, it's been sooooooo long since I've been on 56k, just using this computer I'm on right now(P1 200mhz) makes me feel tired, waiting, and waiting... It can download decently, 25kb/s off of KaZaa Lite from various users at one time, but I think the max speed from a single source is something like 8kb/s?:mad: Oh well, thank god I can use our P4 1.7ghz, at least that utilizes our internet conn. and our LAN...

Oh yeah, and back in the day when I used 56K, our normal ISP connected us at about 12,000 a second! Then I tried one of those free MSN connections where you have that banner on your screen whenever connected and I connected at 48.800!

BTW, FCC ended up capping 56k connections at 48.8 I think it was, because if it got any higher it interferred with other stuff.

Poor boy. Your slow connection is making you delirious.

...and welcome back! When did you realize that you can't escape us? :)

48.8k? I seem to remember that it was something a little bit higher, like 52 or 53k?
