Wet Circle License Test Help

hey does anyone know how to complete the two wet circles in the ib licene division if so please tell me

tap the gas, and tap the d-pad or analog stick, thats the way i did it

yeah on the 60m track (ib-1) keep the vette in 2nd gear and tap the gas so you stay on the inner ring on the course

on the 100m track (ib-2) put the vette in 3rd gear and do the same thing

try what we said first... but remember if you do it how i said make sure you have a manual transmition and not auto

stay close to the inside and just tap the gas, at start accelerate to about 3rd gear in both if u start to go off the inner side (the red thingy bump) then just let go and tap it, NEVER BREAK - NEVER ACCELERATE --- TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP

Instead of Tapping the gas, learn how to use a very light touch to take advantage of the analog buttons. If you lightly press them you can gain speed without losing traction.

Sorry X, Tom's right. You don't have to tap like a sucker anymore, you just push lightly on the buttons! Try it, it's especially useful coming out of corners to avoid power oversteer.

What I did, was as soon as I hit 2nd gear, I held down the either the L2 or R2 (don't matter) and that keeps you stuck in that gear, no need for manual tranny

That is of course on the first (smaller) run.. on the larger one, I brought her up to 3rd and did the same thing

Think of it in other terms, this is a Sony game on Sony's PS2, and it is THE showcase for all of Sony's best efforts, including the invention of analog buttons. Do you really think that they would give the advantage to the tap tap tappers, or would they try to bring you to the next plateu. Trust me grasshopper, master the light touch.

Hven't any of you guys tried using the right anlog stick for accel/braking,- if you have the patience it is the easiest way to COMPLETELY controlling the car speed, - because eventhough the buttons are analogue I think that they are a bit too sensitive..

TRY using the right stick, you might never want to go back to the buttons!! - But be warned ! If you play against some of your friends they will blame you for using the sticks when you beat them..

Well anyway - it is the easyest way to beat the circle tests, and the "circle section" test on complex string.. (I hope you know which one I am talking about, 'cos I don't remember its name, and I'm at work right now, so I can't go check it..

I tried using the right stick...but it wasn't waht i expected. I expected the full range of motion upward would accelerate...but it only started accelerating for maybe the last 1/3 of the way up. I like using the buttons for analog control, they work very well once you get accustomed to it.

Hey Clone Head, if your friends boo hoo about what you use when you play against them do what I do. Hold both your hands out in front of you palms down, with one several inches higher than the other. Explain that you an your friend are on different planes in terms of GT3 skill. You are on this plane (shake the top hand), and they are on the other plane (shake the bottom hand.) You have transcended beyond the constraints of mere button mashing, and perhaps, one day, if they are very dilligent and practice really really hard, they too may one day sit on your plane of existence.
I have found that creative trash talking works far better than run of the mill "You suck" type banter.
If you do resort to this, press the issue over and over, and start refferring to your friend as "Grasshopper" when you play video games. I gaurantee you'll enjoy the results.

Excellent point, at the beginning of a race pull on an imaginary string saying "Ding Ding, school is now is session." as aggrivating an opponent before a race begins is a very effective tool when you are well matched (an just plain amusing when you're not.) Also, if you both have seen "The untouchables", you should say "Here endeth the lesson" in your best Sean Connery impression.

I personally beleive that it doesn't matter what set up u use it's all about studying your ghost and find the little errors on each lap until all are corrected and the final end result will be gold , i got all golds 47 on auto and 1 on manual ( i wonder which one ?) but my point is it is there for u to beat just keep bettering the last ghost and dont give up , imagine those times without a ghost .

It's all about honeing in and refining your skills within the limitations and boundries that limit your results.

To put it simply: Practice, Practice, Practice....

Well RockyMaivia, if you find the buttons better, then use them.. That's the good thing about this godly game, being so full of options...

But I still find the sticks WAY more precise than the buttons...I guess I'll "stick" with them

- A pity we can't have an online duel, that could be fun.. Maybe in GT4 ?

Do what Mista X and Evo told you. You tap on the gas let off of the gas then turn the car. Keep doing that until you get all the way around. It works just takes some patience.
