I've resorted to instant noodles. With a bit of added spice and herbs thrown in they aren't too bad.

Vegetable beef soup and grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Enjoying the cool weather, for a change. But, not for long.

My second attempt at fried rice.

This time I used overnight rice rather than fresh rice and I added a bit of ketchup (how ghetto) for flavouring. Slightly more edible than the first time, which is nice.

I gotta finally say this. Excuse me if I seem rude. This thread makes no sense without pictures unless there's some seriously narcissistic tendecies. Or something of that sort.

I had crock pot chicken fajitas and here's no picture of it. So who cares, right?

If you want to post a picture, post a picture.

If you don't want to post a picture, don't post a picture.

Either way, what you want and what I, or others, chose to do in this thread does not have to align.

That is what I have been eating all week. I didn't post a pic because it looks exactly like the last fried rice pic I posted. This time it is with chicken.
Crock-pot Lasagna
That is on my to do list in the very near future. Probably within the next month. Hmm on 2nd thought, I might get everything for it tonight? Any advice since you have made this a few times?

Last night my wife cooked chicken and sweet potatoes.

It was supposed to be made with cottage cheese and not ricotta. But, I don't care for cottage cheese in my lasagna. So, I used ricotta instead this time and it was too dry. Before, with the cottage cheese, it was too wet. Needed more sauce this time. But, it was still excellent.

Hot Italian sausage is the way to go and not spiced beef. Also, I should have added some Italian seasoning to the ricotta. I think I used too much of it. 24 oz. was way too much. But, not if you love ricotta. I should have added more mozzarella. But, you know how much I love cheese.

Layering is very important. But, no matter how well you do it, it seems just to lump together in a big mess. I like it just fine, that way. So, be prepared it isn't in the shape of a traditional lasagna.

Just make it the way you like. I liked the thick, more dry version but it's just not always on me. There are others who want it a certain way. Best to make it the way the recipe says to and then adjust from there. Just go in knowing it's not going to be the way you like it, until you modify it a bit. But, that's the fun and adventure of cooking.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will let you know on Monday how well it turned out.

Various different recipes I have seen either mix cottage cheese with ricotta or add cream and egg to the ricotta with some seasonings.

I forgot my wallet at home this morning, so lunch consisted of an 8-piece sushi box and that's all (salmon + avocado).

I've got a little baggie of Virginia peanuts that I'm snacking on though (toasted/salted). Why are they so much better than regular peanuts?

That's what I should have done. It was a bit dry and bland. But, still damn excellent. Just could have been a bit better with some added color and flavor.

So, Crock-pot Lasagna Leftovers. Oh, that's not "burnt" sides there, pal. That's flavor! It was... SO DAMN GOOD!!!

Went to McD's for lunch and tried their buttermilk crispy chicken sammich.

It was ok, but doubt I'll order it again. Only reason I got it today was I had a coupon for free medium fries and drink if I bought one.

Ate at the famous Tim Ho Wan restaurant:

Rice with Chicken, Sausage, and Mushroom:

There are two branches here in Manila. Though of course I'd want to try the main branch in Hong Kong. I'll be going there this end of November, so hopefully I have spare time for visiting the restaurant.

I had spaghetti with home made sauce.

home made sauce could be better though.
