For breakfast I had 2 Oreo cookies. For lunch I had a chicken sandwich (loved it), a glass of lemonade, and 2 Oreo cookies. For supper I had fish sticks and french fries with a glass of milk. For dessert I had 4 Oreo cookies and a glass of milk. Now before bed I'm having some lemon water.

Nachos. Seasoned ground beef, refried beans, grilled and fresh onions, BBQued jalapenos, sour cream, quac, diced tomatoes and cheddar cheese sauce.

Breakfast was so awesome this morning, we had it for dinner!

I thought Roadster asked a rhetorical question, which is why I declined to answer. Anyway, I am drinking some more Canada Dry ginger ale. 👍

Holy crap, I tried some of the ginger beer I bought because I got bored with water. It's like a punch in the mouth. The ginger flavor is incredibly strong. You could probably use it to make some great sauces. And cocktails, of course.

Ginger beer > ginger ale.

Ginger beer sorts the men from the boys. Especially home made ginger beer 👍

Never heard of ginger beer. I have to find me some of that. Anywho, I had some of my little sister's birthday cake. She is 4. Then I had some ginger ale. Do they even have ginger beer in Canada?

Yeah, I could probably make my own quite easily if I had a CO2 charger. This Jamaican stuff is great but I'm afraid to drink it because it's more than 10% of my calorie budget in one glass and it's all sugar.

Ginger beer is like ginger ale but with the ginger flavor turned up to 11. Buy some ginger root and mash it up into a paste. Put that whole thing in your mouth with a splash of ginger ale or sprite and you basically have ginger beer.

Your Mother Country probably doesn't think you are manly enough for it.

Dang, now I want that stuff even more. I'm going to tell you guys what I'll eat at lunch. Teachers are taking kids phones if they have them out during lunch now (🤬 stupid, in my opinion). Anyway that being the reason, I'm having a cheeseburger for my lunch.

1 1/2 ounces finely grated fresh ginger
images

6 ounces sugar
7 1/2 cups filtered water
1/8 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Place the ginger, sugar, and 1/2 cup of the water into a 2-quart saucepan and set over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, cover and allow to steep for 1 hour.

Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer set over a bowl, pressing down to get all of the juice out of the mixture. Chill quickly by placing over and ice bath and stirring or set in the refrigerator, uncovered, until at least room temperature, 68 to 72 degrees F.

Using a funnel, pour the syrup into a clean 2-liter plastic bottle and add the yeast, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups of water. Place the cap on the bottle, gently shake to combine and leave the bottle at room temperature for 48 hours. Open and check for desired amount of carbonation. It is important that once you achieve your desired amount of carbonation that you refrigerate the ginger ale. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, opening the bottle at least once a day to let out excess carbonation.
