NSFW: Language Warning

This is the saddest song, I've ever heard from Zappa in a comedic-slash-psychedelic fashion.

His other great song, Are Friends Electric, was on NFS Carbon. But I can't help but think they missed an open goal not putting this in instead.

Heard it days way before going to watch it last Saturday, but dude, easily best song in the franchise's modern times (doesn't beat Grits' "My life be like" tho ;), or the rest of Tokyo Drift's soundtrack). Still, cool song ♥. And as a bonus, Camilla Cabello sings en español (she's cubana believe it or not, not mexican or american as many would think at first) enough said for me :lol:

WARNING: Maybe too complicated to comprehend, for one who doesn't know about free jazz.

This is a cover of Ornette Coleman's Enfant, played by composer/saxophone player John Zorn.

Another piece of wonder, made by John Zorn, in his late-80s to mid-90s free jazz/thrash jazz/avant-garde group, 'Naked City'.

Try to listen to all eight of these songs, without either laughing or being disgusted.

(I can't list these songs in GTP, because the titles are too-NSFW to share.)

Personnel:
  • John Zorn - Alto Saxophone
  • Bill Frisell - Guitar
  • Fred Frith - Bass
  • Joey Baron - Drums
  • Wayne Horvitz - Keyboards
  • Yamatsuka Eye - Vocals

Hearing this live had to be one of the greatest joys ever. The intro especially is just brutal on a level that Thrice hadn't reached since The Illusion of Safety days.

...I was organizing my CD collections when, from the bottom of the pile, found my Bob Seger disc, circa 1994. Feeling nostalgic, I popped in and immediately felt at home. He has so many great songs, but man, Hollywood Nights, Mainstreet and We've Got Tonight still makes me feel sooooo damn good after all these years.
