I'd never seen the video for taste the pain before. Badass. I also ddin't realise Frusciante and Chad were in the band when the song was released. I now like it a lot more.

Yes, John and Chad where in the band when Mother's Milk was released. Taste The Pain was recorded after John joined the band, but before Chad joined. So the drummer on the track is Philip "Fish" Fisher. Yes, this is one of my favorite tracks off of Mother's Milk.

If you haven't, you should listen to the first three RHCP albums. I own every one of their albums, and those first three get heavy playtime with me. Give those a listen. Flea was at his funkiest back then!
