Krzysztof Penderecki - Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima

I recommend everybody to listen to this piece, it's difficult to as it is terrifying and chaotic. It does however fill you will some of the sense of terror the victims went through and is a reminder of how horrific mankind can be.

I've only heard Krzysztof Penderecki's music in Stanley Kubrick's classic horror film "The Shining"... very powerful stuff...

Not quite in the same league, but one of my favourite pieces of 'classical' music is by Michael Nyman, called "Memorial"... it was used prominently (and repeatedly) in Peter Greenaway's disturbing film, "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover". Greenaway used Nyman's music in several films, but unusually, Greenaway actually designed scenes to fit Nyman's music (which had already been composed), instead of Nyman writing music to fit the film. Infact, Nyman's "Memorial" was written as a tribute to the victims of the Heysel stadium disaster in 1985...

Listening to random stuff on my laptop: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Molly Hatchet, The Tragically Hip, Panic at the Disco and a lot more.

Listening to For Whom the Bell Tolls right now, as my girlfriend's playing Guitar Hero Metallica...

From Kill Bill Vol. 2 I'm just listening to the soundtrack from both KB films.

Chingón - Malaguena Salerosa

Foo Fighters - Arlandria

So the album leaked apparently, and then the Foo Fighters posted the whole album on their Facebook so I've been listening for the past hour or so. Arlandria just happens to be my favourite at the moment, but the whole album seems really good. 👍

Al Hirt- Green Hornet (from Kill Bill Vol.1)

Urban Cone - Urban Photograph
