Once again, we completely agree....

The white Stripes are beyond simple... There may be an interesting underlying message in some of their songs, but the beat structure, Lyrics, and guitar work are rediculously basic..... I can't see any reason to listen to it..... Now, some of you may say, "It's catchy" or "It makes my head bop", but you just have to realise, I don't look for such things in music... Just my opinion....

So something has to be complex to be good? Some of the best music is very simple. The White Stripes are very good.

I guess it all comes down to taste, so it's pointless in arguing.

Seriously? I figured that was one of the worst songs they ever released.

Heart Shaped Box, now that is a good Nirvana tune.

I guess it all comes down to taste, so it's pointless in arguing.

IMO, music needs a certain level of complexity..... This doesn't mean the song has to be really complex, or fast, in fact a good dynamic song is deceptively simple...... It just means it needs a certain level of originality, in the music, and/or lyrics..... The white Stripes have some originality in the lyrics (however trite), but the riffs, drum work, and song structures are too basic for my taste..... As I said before... If you like really simple music, then fine.... I just get tired of hearing the same thing over, and over again.....
