What cars did you use for seasonal event 7?

I've only completed the FF series so far. I can recommend the following for a good challenge:

CAR:
Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '95, bone stock except for oil change. 201 BHP.

TYRES:
Tsukuba = Comfort Soft

Eiger = Comfort Soft (Though I think impossible if the field of cars has a Civic start the race in lead - in this case exit completely then re-enter to get a different line-up of opponents or upgrade to Sport Hard)

Trial Mountain = Comfort Medium

I'm pretty sure these would all be do-able without the oil change but havn't had time to try that. Oh, and all aids off except ABS on 1 by the way.

I used a stock Renault Avantime for the FF races. I don't know why but it drives awesome and it just annihilated the other cars.

For the FR challenge, a RMed Cappucino tuned to max (133 BHP) w/ racing softs was more than enough. I won by 25 seconds at Cape Ring, for example.

Just won FR Deep forest by 2 seconds, with an 88HP Cappuccino :)

Only brake at the first corner

I decided to go 'old school':

FF: Honda 1300 coupe 9 S '70
FR: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA '65
AWD: Ford RS200 '85

was pretty fun, the Honda has an air cooled engine so it's torque was sweet. With all 3 of them I owned the corners, but not the straights.

I like that old school approach. Will give it a try.

So the line-up changes each race with this set of seasonals?

Stock RM Civic
Stock RM Silvia
Stock RM WRX

So much fun :D

It's almost like these cars were designed specifically for these challenges.

Just did this. Was a lot of fun. I'm gonna poke around and try to find some dark horse used cars to try these races with.

FF with Peugeot 207 GTI 07 stock on CS from one of the previous seasonal's.Had a good time
FR with BMW 2002 Turbo with 180ish on SH not much of a challenge, have to find something else.
4X4 was the first i did so when i looked to 400hp from AI took the C4 WRC stock(326HP) on SS, and simply smoked the AI, so have to do it again with much less power.

Focus ST,
BMW 1 Series,
Subaru Imprezza.

Need a ferrari so will have to complete the last race in b spec to get the gift token for it.

i used my spoon dc2 and civic on the FF really fun and easy

~I don't know how to quote yet, LOL~
BUT
you will have to mod up the honda and alfa romeo to win, though the RS200 can win with just an oil change and sports hard

These Challenges are much more fun when you choose to use a car that's an underdog! I didn't realize the competition was rather lax so I accidentally used a car that was way over the top for 4WD: the HKS CT230R. I was very close to starting to lap people on the 2-lap Cape Ring race. oops! LOL

FF: '05 MINI Cooper S
FR: Caterham Seven Fireblade
4WD: HKS CT230R
F1: either F2007 or F10 do the job just fine

For the FF, Nissan mmR cup car, FR I used the old Alfa Romeo Zaragasasdftoo S134582592592 very long name car. For the 4wd I used the BMW M5.

All the cars beat the events easily (stock though, no mods, oil or tyre changes) I also used the Gathers Drider Civic race car, and the old Shelby, just for the change.

I am not a whiner and I'm still having 'fun' with these events, but they are so staged and setup I feel a little less satisfaction for the win.

I'm never one for setting a race up with a slower car than the competition, I normally go for the easy win. This time on th FR challenge I used a stock toyota 86 concept with 280bhish with comfort hard tyres, nice race won first try with 5 sec lead even though the competition had 314bhp-349bhp. So I moved onto a '76 1600 toyota celica gt with comfort hard running 190bhp, won by at least 5 seconds on some of the events and as much as 15secs. My m8 then had a go with the celica even though he'd never driven in manual on any game he gave it a go, was pretty bad tbh and had a total lap time 28 seconds more than mine. Guess what, he finished with a 5 second lead. These were all on the cape ring seasonal 7

This can't be just the competition upping the game after you overtake them. because we both passed them at the same points on the track and took the lead in the last lap.

I have never noticed this before in any part of the game and I'm lvl 30 aspec and 25 bspecish.Don't get me wrong I appreciate the events and will enjoy them, It just feels even more like an arcade game now. They have overdone the ease/difficulty problems by staging the races to match your ability and the car you choose.

It can't be just me that has noticed?

FF: Stock Ford Focus ST170 /w Sport Mediums
FR: M-B 190E with the 2k Power Upgrade and SMs
AWD: Subaru STi 99' with 2k Upgrade and SMs.

One of the races, which I forget, was actually pretty damn hard, I made my pass on the last turn. I think it was Eiger Short Track.

Either way, fun stuff. Wish we had more of these to do.

FF: Copen detachable top.

Which is better, the F2007 or F10? Oh, and how am I supposed to save 12.5 million in 2 weeks?

im having fun with these events, the no tire/tune restriction can make it easy yes, but ive been using cars i dont usually drive

FR - stock alfa 8c (i havnt got much use out of it, wanted to throw some miles on it)
FF - scion xb - fully tuned...cant get higher than 4th lol
AWD - lancia delta running about 390hp

For the FR event, use the Caterham Fireblade completely stock (with Sports Hard tyres). I came within 4 secs of the winner at Deep Forest, but with no mistakes it's doable, certainly for the good players out here. To make it easier just put Sports Medium on it, then you should win without trouble. Think Sport Softs would make it too easy. Have only tried with Sports Hard till now though.

With a stock Caterham Fireblade on Sports Hard it's a nice challenge and nice race. Can recommend it to everyone. The Caterham is the
Formula GT A-spec
prize car, so most people should have it.:)

FF: Heavily modified Prius G. Gotta go back for gold on the middle one but it's not a bad car for these races.
FR Stock straight from the dealership 69 Z-28 A good match except for the Cape Ring which was an easy win
4WD Gran Truismo Pace Car Nissan GTR. Will have to rerun the Rome golded the other 2
Have no F1 car and will not be buying one for the seasonals. Seems like a big ticket car for a minor payout. Negative value unless you have one or trade for one. No big deal.

Thanks to H7N for giving me an F2007. Still have the F1 races to run.

Went back and golded the races I had yet to run in the other 3 classes. The GTR Pace car was down on power and I was getting passed on the straights but was able to out corner the AI

I did make 1 change to the Prius that should have been very minor but put it over the top for the 2nd FF race. An oil change. HP went from 153 to 161. I'm still trying to figure out how this helped because the gas engine didn't kick in until I was passing for the lead. Appearantly it increased the HP of the electric motor. Never messed with a Prius in real life but I've never known of an electric motor having an oil change done on it. Yeah we lube the bearings in them but break in and hp gain has never been a factor. Maybe I missed something in my college courses (work related industrial maintenance). We covered Electric motors a few months back.

FF Challenge: Honda Civic type R '97 RM - 197 HP

FR Challenge: Chevrolet Camaro SS '97 - 298 HP

4WD Challenge: Nissan Skyline R34 '02 - 390 HP

Ferrari Challenge: I don't have any F-1 Ferrari Car :guilty:

I used a mk1 Golf for the FR - with comfort softs. What a hoot! Made the races very enjoyable.

I used a Honda Civic Si for the FF challenges,I used a Nissan 180 sx for the FR challenges and a Lancer Evo TM Edition, little or no upgrades. I thought the events were funner if you didn't upgrade, With all the dupeing and spare birthday accounts, credits didnt really mean too much. I still need a Ferrari though, I am sure I can trade for it with someone. I just like the challenge of racing, and a chance to drive, paint, photoshoot, and slightly mod cars I could never afford to otherwise. 👍:)

Which is better, the F2007 or F10?

Apparently, the F2007 is easier to control than the F10, but I still haven't decided which one to buy though. I'm guessing you can win the FF1 Seasonal races with either car.

For the 4WD Cape Ring race, I used the Skyline GT-R Midnight Purple II, which I hadn't even changed the oil on. Looks pretty cool too, and the AI was also using one which came 2nd, so it was the battle of the Midnight Purples :D

The Shelby GT350r is great fun on Suzuka, you just can't help drifting it everywhere.

I'm using the cr-z right now on the FF. 122 hp. Racing soft.

Tried sport hard but got 4th at Tsukuba.

Got 1st on the last turn at Tsukuba. 1st on the last turn at eider. Won trial mountain by 11 seconds.

Switched to sports soft for trial mountain and won by 5 seconds.

Fun stuff.
