What cars did you use for seasonal event 7?

Prius= hybrid. Gas engine can either run wheels or charge batteries. Car does not plug in like Leaf or Tesla and usually batteries are used at low speeds. It gets like 50 mpg.

Apparently, the F2007 is easier to control than the F10, but I still haven't decided which one to buy though. I'm guessing you can win the FF1 Seasonal races with either car.

Now, how to get the $$$?:(

FF: Ford Focus from the old seasonal event (you know the one on madrid, difficult as hell) 225hp, comfort tires....pretty difficult as well so I had to switch to sport tires for the second and third race.
FR: stock BMW Serie 1 tii concept, not completed yet

I'm not gonna rush it, just make the races hard (and do them repeatedly to get some more cash until I gold all of them) since PD don't seem to have the guts to add models/hp/tires restrictions.

I have only done the 1st and 2nd F1 events used the Alonso F10 with tc on 2 and abs 1, took me quite a few laps to get into a good rythm and took the lead around lap 4 on each race (kept having AI ramming issues). Used DS3 was tricky but definately do-able, I'm an average driver at best lol.

The Prius also has a gas engine which does need oil changes :P

The gas engine didn't kick in untill I was taking the lead. Even then it as I understand only runs a generator which charges the batteries for the electric motor. (might be wrong there) There is a very noticeable change in the sound of the car when it starts since it has a full race exhaust. Car still had more power (or atleast I perceived it too)while running on the electric motor.

So far have only tried the FF races. Close races and good fun (not bothered about the credit/xp levels to be honest, for me it's extra free events)

Have used:

Mini Cooper '07 176hp stock with oil change, sports hard (like the opposition), no driving aids, placed 2nd/1st/1st on Tsubuka, 4th/3rd on Eiger, 1st on Trial Mountain.

Mitsubushi FTO GP Version R '99 194hp stock with oil change, sports hard tyres, no driving aids, placed 1st Tsubuka, 1st Eiger (only just, got the lead on the final corner), and 1st Trial Mountain.

The only thing I would say is that the AI really do have some odd braking points on the Trial Mountain circuit... when using both the Mini and the Mitsibushi, I have smashed into the back of the opposition on a couple of occasions because they have braked right in front of me where I did not expect them to brake on corners that I have taken at full throttle.

I used a maxed out fiat panda for the FF races and a maxed out Volvo estate for the FR races, bit more of a challenge still easy tho

FF - Gathers DRider Civic Race Car (stock) - absolutely made for this event
FR- Silvia GT300 Race car stock no oil change 294bhp
4WD - Impreza Rally Car 99

Although won by a fair margin on all - still good fun!

Now to save up for a Ferrari F1 2007 only another 9m to go!

4WD: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X - SH tires, stock save for ECU, sports intake and exhaust mods.
Re-done w/ '84 Ford RS200, stock on SH tires. Now THAT was fun.

F1: Ferrari F10 on RH tires, default downforce settings.

The F2007 can win the F1 events easy, because it gives you a field of F2007 cars lol! (I assume the same goes if you use the F10 you matched against a field of F10's?) so it doesn't matter which you buy really.

I used the same cockpit view that you get in F1:2010 (behind the drivers head) and as soon as I got that cockpit view I battered the Tokyo race with all aids off (except for ABS, I switched it back on for this car)

I must be doing something wrong. People say the F1 challenge is easy but I can't seem to get higher than 8th and sometimes 12th!! I am not the best driver, however I have golded every race on the game apart from Forumla GT. I just can't seem to handle these cars.

All I have done for this seasonal event however is buy Soft Racing Tyres. Help, I have just blown £12.5m.:nervous:

I just did another run on the FR challenge, used a Nascar, let all the cars lap me once, and then tried to catch up. That was pretty good fun.

Before "going old school" I´ve tried a stock Integra type R ´00 with 198 BHP and Sports Hard, in the FF challenge. Ive encountered different opponents in each of the races at Tsukuba, a 221BHP Megane Sport and a 222BHP Civic type R, leading the packs, the later being the toughest. This setup worked at Tsukuba and Trial Mountain, but I had to install a customisable gearbox to defeat the leading Peugeot 207 at Eiger.

Next is the FR, Im planning to use a stock Nismo 270R, but with Sports Hard tyres instead of the packs Sports Medium.

If you want a good challenge for the FR races: Nissan 300 ZX (Z32) '89, stock with Comfort Soft tires, no aids except ABS to 1. It's certainly doable, but you have to drive very carefully on the slow corners and brake early.

FF Challenge: Honda Civic Type R (EK) '97 (upgraded to 197bhp)

FR Challenge: Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 (no upgrades)

4WD Challenge: Acura HSC Concept '04 (no upgrades)

Just use decent tyres and you'll cruise it. The Civic was way over-tuned (from the original 177bhp) so I didn't bother tuning the others. I'm going to run it again with less powerful cars which I wouldn't usually use to make it more competitive.:sly:

I know some people love the F1's in Gran Turismo but I've never believed they should be included in a game like this, so I won't be running that. Horses for courses, etc.

FF Challenge: Volkswagen Lupo Cup Car

FR Challenge: Amuse S2000

4WD Challenge: Mine’s Lancer Evo

F1 Challenge: Ferrari F2007

I've just been running the FF events over and over again, trying different cars. Has anyone tried their mm-R Cup Car yet? Mine's been in the garage since I won it. That little thing is fast and nimble with 140 HP, 690 kg. Tsukuba was an easy win, Eiger was a bit more competitive, and I was in the lead before the end of Lap 1 at Trial Mtn.

I just ran it in that on a second PSN account I made, expected it to be difficult but it was anything but. Tsukuba and Eiger I was in the lead on the 2nd lap, and 1/2 way through the 1st lap of Trial Mountain.

Has anyone figured out a way to lose the Trial Mt. FF race short of totally sandbagging it? I ran a Civic RM through the three races last night, won Eiger by 1 sec but ran far ahead of the field on Trial. Looking at other posts it seems like that's the pattern for everyone.

There really wasn't much of a challenge this time around. Perhaps that's why the low payouts. Think I'd much prefer a harder challenge with larger prizes than this.

for the FR, i used the cappuccino RM with 133 hp. suzuka was quite close, i would pass them on the S curves and they would repass me on the main straights. the other two races were easy. very fun.

i read someone used an odyssey 4wd. i may give that a try or a suzuki 4wd.

For now only completed 2 race FF Challenge: Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) RM '97 (197KM, tyres Sports Hard). That was fun and challenge.
On Tsukuba Circuit after last corner lead with 0,6xx
On Eiger Nordwand Short Track lead on second corner before finish.
Tonight, event's will be continued...

Regards

FF - VW Beetle cup car + oil change: Eiger needed a few tries, but the other two were easy.
FR - Toyota FT-86 Concept '09: easy
4WD - Lancer evo (282 HP): moderate

rx7 fc with comfort soft and ~280 hp was very fun for the FR class. Passed on the highspeed left hander on Tsukabu on the last lap to get into first.

I used my RM GTI for the FF because I don't really care for FWD too much. Was just a couple races to blow through quickly. Felt like the sunday cup all over again.

4wd I used a 22b sti with around 300 hp with sport mediums.

Using the f10 for the formula races but have yet to play the Indy track. Racing softs and you can win pretty easily but it is still very fun. All aids off as usual.

for the 4wd, i used suzuki alto works, fully modified, with 146 hp and racing soft.

rome: 3rd. track is too narrow and car too slow.
laguna seca: 1st by 0.9 sec.
cape ring: 1st by 0.5 sec. could have won by more but made many mistakes.

i decided to try again with a much lesser car in the FF race and took a bone stock seat ibiza with an oil change and sport softs. easily won. but man it was strange jumping into that straight off of my ferrari f1 championship!! took me a minute to get used to the "speed" of the little fake golf

I did the FR races with the Cappuccino RM, race hards. (did deep forest with Alfa Giulia TZ2 as well, before I re-ran it with the cappucino, also was a blast)

All power mods for Suzuka, about 100hp for the other two. Made for close fun races.

Going to try the MM-R cup for the FF challenges now.
