And I already told you that your perspective is not what I have a problem with. It is your "lowest common denominator" approach to spreading it. It is the anti-war equivalent of "reality TV," the Oprah of political messages.

I UNDERSTAND that terrorism is bad. that is what my passage was about. the fact that you cant see that, and accuse me of using guilt, leaves me to thing that you just dont really have much idea at all about what is really going on around you. you will think how you want to, and it is sad. you will never see that what we both want is the same thing. im sorry that it must come to it, but i guess time will tell if this war will really have an effect on the long-standing terror risk to this country. I think it will, but i dont think it will be in the way that you are thinking it will. that is what my passage was about. im sorry you couldnt see it on your own.

Well we do agree on one thing. I believe that terrorism in this country will increase after the war is over. So should we stop what we are doing in Iraq because of that?

I belive you understand "something," but what you're chosing to ignore is that what I have to say about your tear-jerker post has nothing to do with who is against terrorism and/or war. It is totally independent of it. If I could even conclude that you and I want the exact same thing I would distance and dissociate myself from your words because I think it betrays a poorly thought out, knee-jerk, fear-of-pain way of making decisions... a way that threatens freedom, that practically serves it up on a silver platter to any tyrant waiting to take it.

I percvieve a mentally lazy, world-weariness rampant in our culture right now. You could be it's poster child. It is the worst form of terrorism. But nobody is ready for that yet.

i dont know why you insist on these rather well- worded attacks twards me, but i resent them. you are cocky , over zealous, and afraid to be wrong. anyone here can see i dont have to iterate a medely of well rounded insults to back that up. your attacks remind me of discussions ive had with so many others who couldnt see past their own ego. im sorry it has to be this way, i just wanted to have a friendly discussion.

heres a tip, dont take it so personally- get off the computer and go make some friends. this is a forum discussion, and it shouldnt be taken so personally.

im sorry for you.

dont bother replying to me

Mile,... If I had a dollar for everytime you flamed someone for haveing a seperate opinion from your's, I'd be a rich man.

Why cant you just say,... "I dont like your opinion"? Why does it always have to be "Your the poster child for idiocy, or, your opionion is the lowest common demoniator, or, you have a Christ complex"? The dude never once flamed you in the last 2 pages,... and he still can carry on a viable conversation.

WTF is your problem?

It's people like you that think everyone is so dumb,.. that get us into these situations in the first place. "I'm right, Jesus says so, you'll die if you dont believe me" or "We'll ALL be a victim of the Saddams regime if we dont take him out,... cause the smart people say so"

Your BOTH (petifile and Acidface) wrong,.. cause there is NO right answer,... just opinions from our fellow man,.... how can you argue with that?

Bla bla bla . . . actually it's more like I argue my point, and when it's is not comprehended I argue it again. Frankly I don't care what you or Artifice (I just realized the joke in his name) think of me because both of you have consistently (you much more so) shown that you react irrationally to anything that displeases you. You can't have a real debate because you get too emotional (Artifice's long post), or just make some "final proclamation" (usually a personal attack - see above) and give up. Fine. It's pretty funny how you two cave in under the pressure of having to back up what they say. Then you are left with nothing more than hurt feelings. Learn to compartmentalize when arguing. You'll see you can go much deeper and really get your hands dirty without having to say things like "dont take it so personally- get off the computer and go make some friends.", which simply shows that he takes things too personally, and can't handle that his bright idea might not be indestructible. "This is a forum discussion, and it shouldnt be taken so personally." He's really talking to himself here. I woke up in a good mood and and still am in a good mood, because I can have an argument, cut through the crap and stick to the issue without getting pissed off.

And then he tells me he's sorry for me... wha? And I need to not take things personally?

Artifice, I didn't realize you cared.

What?

Go back and read the posts and you will see how all I ever refered to is your long, stupid post. If you're so sensitive, don't post. Once again, another moron who ignores what I say in favor of feeling insecure about the incapacity to respond to an intelligent comment.

*shrug*

Mob rules.

It's so easy to get you to really show what you're made of. This is your level. Junior high humor.

Dude,.. I gave up having rational conversations with you. To be rational, you have to be accepive to other peoples opinions and, only once in a while, admit that you not always right,...... two things you cant seem to get a handle on.

So, I find it easier to talk to you by drawing in crayon.

No. I do not win. And I guess therein lies the problem. I just didn't see it that way. I thought we were trying to hash out your post and who meant what and so on and so forth. Sorry it pissed you off. Sorry you don't see my perspective.

I'm especially sorry you have allied yourself with the biggest troll on this site. I believe if he hadn't been involved the discussion may have been a good one. Discussions can get heated, epecially about war, and resolve themselves when the parties are willing. I was.

But like you, I am also bored with this, mostly because of you Red Eye Racer. I like it better when you flooded my PM box with your crap. Please spare the forums.

See ya if and/or when this thread gets back on topic.

allied,.... ROFL! I dont have friends,... you've reminded me of that fact countless times.

On-topic,... I like Acidface's summery, it was quite thought-provokeing,.. even for a intelectual adolecense like myself.

I'm sorry, I just happen to find that subliminal paradox extremely funny. :D

No offense intended, Red Eye -- honestly!

Yeah,. I'm the poster child for what spell check and grammer check can do to a person. No offence taken ;)

me am a english major :D

though it may not always be structured correctly,.... you'll NEVER see this 133707|f_|-)^^)-|f| what ever the hell stuff outta me.

I feal as though I get close enough, I never look at the screen when I type and I feal as though it's a waste of time to try make everything perfect.

BTW,.. whats your opinion on the topic snoop?

I just feel that feeling guilty about people dying in a war, whether it be kids, women, old people, or even the troops, serves nothing. Especially when I didn't do anything wrong. Maybe "compassion" is what we all need more of.

I hate this war. I want it over. I hate how I can't turn on the TV without a major mood swing. I hate seeing mom's cry and kids getting killed. I hate the protests. I question Bush. But I know we've passed the point of no return. We have to win now, and I know we will. But I still hate it.

Is the war right? I don't know. It's too late for that now. I'll leave it to the historians.

All I want is to believe that life will remain reasonably safe and prosperous for my family and I. That's it. Simple stuff. That is my standard of judgement. Will this war accomplish that for Americans? Again, I don't know.
