Gran Turismo doesn't need any specific manufacturer to be present.
No, it's just 1 brand. Lamborghinis aren't that important, I can do without them. I don't mind them in the series though, in fact, it's good news. I have mixed thoughts, I won't vote. Lamborghinis are boring now, they have had the same designs for years now. None of the 2 cars on the market have had any visual upgrades in their lifetimes.

I'm def. happy about it, this news actually is the reason I will buy a PS3 and GT5 as opposed to Forza 3 and 360.
I think there are PLENTY of good reasons to get a PS3 and GT 5 but your reasoning strikes me as odd.
Forza 3 will almost definitely have a larger selection of Lamborghinis ( the Reventon is already confirmed ) and Ferraris and then ofcourse Porches aswell where GT 5 will get something like the RUF instead.
What's odd about it? He just decided he wants Lambos in his game and seeing that both GT5 and FM3 have them - he's going for the one he sees as better. Your reasoning with Porsches is whats odd, when a guy talks about Lambos...
But he was talking about LAMBOS which were missing earlier (you don't convince someone who is just thirsty to eat a sandwich). Period.Well Ferraris and Porches and Lambos all kind of go together. All extremely recognizable brands and all have been lacking in GT up untill now.
So? There will be even bigger improvement (since earlier there were no Ferraris or Lambos in GT4) in GT series.Forza 2 had TONS of all of these brands and it's been confirmed that there will be even more of all of these in Forza 3.
There will probably be around 300 (1000+ - those 700 from GT4) brand new cars introduced to the franchise. I guess they'll manage to squeeze few Ferraris there.I'd love to be wrong, but I fear there may only be a tiny handfull of Ferraris and Lambos in GT 5 as they are new additions to the GT franchise.
I'd like that too, but it's a car sim, not a Bob the Builder gamePisses me off that GT 5 couldn't get Porche, with no adequate reason given.
Is invalid (also you're making a non-subjective unsourced statement in the end). Why? Because you're implying that Forza will have more Lamborgini models without even having a glimpse of yet to be revealed car list of BOTH games. Also you're suggesting that a Lambo lover would like to see his beloved supercar damaged (and if the way the damage in FM3 is rendered will be similar to the solution in FM2, it'll be downward fugly!). Another thing is that we all suspect no damage for regular road cars in GT5, but we DON'T KNOW IT for sure.If Lamborghinis were really MY thing, GT would not be my first choice. Forza 3 will almost definitely have a larger selection of them. And then ontop of that larger selection they will have Damage modeling in Forza 3 aswell as far more options of customization.
As far as Lamborghinis are concerned Forza 3 is the clear best choice.
I don't want to see Porches in GT5. I'd like to see Porsches thoughI also don't understand your comments about Porche.

Oh I already stated that it's MO that there will be more Lambo's in Forza 3. I'm a betting man and that's where my money is. How many Lambos have been CONFIRMED for GT 5 thus far? Is it none? And a Lambo lover would have the CHOICE of damage rather than no choice at all.
More Lambos, All with Damage modeling and all with a lot more customization options. I don't see how GT can compete is this specific area.
And yeah, yeah we DO know that it's only the Race cars that will feature Damage.
Oh man ,you've been presuming wrong for so long !
First :eventhough it was the first time Ferrari appeared in Gran Turismo we already had 6 of them in prologue :
-599 GTB Fiorano
-F430
-California (unveiled exclusively via a polyphony teaser)
-F40
-512 BB
-F60(exclusive to Gran Turismo and they don't even have the F1 license)
Polyphony's partnership with Ferrari is closer that any race video game makers(Turn10 included) ,Kaz even had the chance to test drive the Scuderia on the official Fiorano test track !
And do expect to see the F458 Italia as a regular GT5 car not a dlc as in Forza 3
So if you assume that there's gonna be more Ferrari in Forza 3 than GT5 then you're thinking so wrong boy .
When it comes to Lamborghini ,we have been knowing of its inclusion in the serie for a month only ,how can you pretend Forza is going to have more of them out of 400 cars than GT out of 1000 ?

That's 6 compared to 20+
And I've already said that it's my opinion. We won't know for sure untill both games are released ( and I buy them both ).
And I completely disagree with your opinion that Polyphony's relationship with Ferrari is "closer than anyone else." Kind of hard not to notice that it wasn't untill their FIFTH game that they were able to get permission to use them.
And instead of talking about hypothetical car lists let's talk about facts. The Ferrari's that are included in GT 5 WON'T all have Damage modeling and based on available info also won't have nearly as many options when it comes to customization.
So right there, I don't see how GT 5 can compete in this specific area.
Weren't we talking about Lambos? I guess the same argument can be applied to both.... not Porsche however.
F60 is code name for Enzo not for the f1 car
