ABS, nothing else.

And next time... please use the search function to find topics like this, I can tell you it's been posted/discussed thousands of times.

Not being rude or mean, just giving you a tip.

I used to leave everything at default settings, but I have been changing to only ABS-1 on all my cars as I drive them again. It has been much more fun, and I'm getting better at drifting through corners a bit :D

I only use ABS: 1, and that depends on whether I'm driving a race car or road car, and whether the real car has it or not :)

I use the driving line, I have TCS at 5, have SRF on, and have ABS set to 1. I'm just gonna go ahead and say this. If you're going to post here that people who do you driving aids are noobs, then you have no right to say that, and that we could say the same about you.

Depending on how crappy the tires are vs how powerful the car is, il use TC at 1 or 2. Same with ABS, the crappier the tires, the more ABS I'll use. It also depends on if I'm using a DS3 or a wheel.

If you follow PD's example during 2012 GTA, the 370 came with TC at 7 by default! Normally it's 5. This told us, "the car is unruly".

A real life high end super car capable of speeds over 250 mph has no business having SH or SM tires on it.

No ABS
No TCS
No ASM
No Automatic transmission
No Course Map
No Driving line
No Driver list
No Active steering loading display

The only concession is I use the RA menu so I can alter the Brake Bias in arcade mode (Or in GT mode if I forget to do the set up on the car) so the brakes have a bit more pedal travel - if you see what I mean.

Of Late I've been running with no gauges or Time or clock... Does make time trials more --- testing as you have no clue just how well you are doing - (Except for the dirty great "Hey hey you got GOLD" window that pops up.)

- I don't have an issue with anyone using driver aids - If a driver doesn't enjoy an illhandling beast of a car and gets more fun when it is electrnically tamed then more power to you. And I don't expect anyone to look at that load of "Nein! Nein! Nein!" and think I am super fast.

I just find "softened" cars to be a not as much fun to drive.

I really like balancing the car under heavy braking for a slow corner, fighting for grip mid corner with a dab of oppo(tm) and balancing it up, blending the throttle in on the exit in a nice smooth fashion.

Abs 1, I only use other aids in certain circumstances (TG Elise, Alfa @ Eiger, X1 Challenge)

You could say it about us, but it wouldn't be true.

Aids make cars easier to drive. Those of us who've mastered every other aspect of the game reduce our aids usage because it adds to the difficultu factor and keeps the game from being boring. If you require SRF to get around quickly, then your lacking certain skills like throttle control and proper racing line usage. That might not make you new to the game, but it does make you less skilled and therefor noobish.

Are you sure? Because I'm sure you guys know you can't win against someone who does use driving aids, that's why you guys ban them so much online.

You could win against someone using TCS, it actually slows you down, ABS can be beaten with tuned brake bias, but SRF beats anything, but I consider that pretty noobish. Learn the hard way!

Also, one more thing and I am done here. GT5 is a game. The point of a game is to have fun. People like me have fun using driving aids. I am pretty sure nobody has ever died letting others have fun. I think that people who can't see that don't deserve to play video games.

Was your whole goal of posting in here to start fights with people because starting right from your first post, that what it looks like. Everyone else was just posting their answers and moving along. Then you come in with your off the cuff remarks and that pretty much got the ball rolling on the argueing. Just stop already.

I was not trying to start an argument. It was the others who assumed I was trying to start one. I was just posting my thoughts.
