People that moan about facebook ON facebook, defies all logic

Again, what's the big deal? When I do it changes are usually reverted. I got some crazy power I guess. Like complain about the "remove" button disappearing on mobile mode. I complained, and next day it was back again on mobile mode. They listen to moi.

The fact that this will never be made.

 What kind of Toyota is that?
Oh and that just reminds me, I hate badge snobs. People who would say "I'd never buy any Toyota. They are so common!" People from my generation don't look at cars the way I would look at them-they look at a badge.

I believe its was a interpretation of a new Supra. But knowing Toyota, fast cars scare them nowadays.

I used to be so biased towards new Japanese cars, but they appear to be starting the same tuner design faze as in the 90's, which makes me happy that I won't be driving a piece of crap in 4 - 5 years.

Jai, it seems you grind your gears a lot. Isn't it time for a major overhaul in your gearsection?

Haha I've noticed he does post on here often. :scared:
At least he keeps his complaining on here though and not on other threads. 👍

@ Other humans above me.

I burned out my transmission, it Grinds my Gears that I can't afford a new one :sly:

No air-con on my school bus grinds my gears. Then, when I think, great, we're finally going, some air will come in through the windows, the bus driver recieves a phone call. He can't use his phone while driving, so we just sit outside the school while he has a chat.

The fact that I failed an English test for writing the plural of Sheep is Sheepies..

I thought I was right :ouch:

Pural of sheep is sheep. One of those odd ones... Plural of goose is geese, plural of mongoose is mongooses... eh?

My old reading teacher. She was insane. All the time she would be like "Provide text evidence with your TAKS test or you will be 100% gauranteed to fail!" So I decided to not use any text evidence and still got a perfect score! Now she's my Gym Teacher. :ouch: Thing is though, it's my favorite class. I think it's because it feels so much like last year, which makes me kinda sad. I'll never be able to get to relive last year no matter how much I wanted to. :(

Cell phones are apparently becoming the new fad in Alaska, so everyone else on the highway is either a. doing 45 in a 65 and completely oblivious to your presence, or b. doing 85 in a 65, changing lanes every 5 seconds, and still completely oblivious to your presence.

People that buy SUV's just for taking the kids to school or getting the shopping done.

I can't see why they don't get a people mover like the Honda Odyssey or some other people mover that seats 7 that is safer and is better on fuel.

Well, here in AK a 4x4 is pretty much par for course. If you're just going to be driving around town, you don't need one, but if you have to climb any kind of a hill you'll get stranded just as soon as the snow flies. Sometimes even if you don't have to climb a hill.

Also, if you want to see the less developed areas (and there are plenty of those), it's useful as well.

People obviously understand that, as there are about a million Nissan XTerras around here...

Speaking of seeing the less developed areas... MOTORHOME DRIVERS MAKE ME RAGE! The law says you PULL OVER once you accumulate 5 cars behind you, not expect them to suffer through 200 miles behind your battleship at 35mph!

I lol'd at that as I've got a Chrysler Grand Voyager (7 seats/5.2m long/in-car 7.1 surround sound 3-screen cinema :sly:) which we do the shopping and school runs in. After that I drive into work on my own in it - I bet you really hate that one! Fuel economy? Pah! TBH I'd prefer to use my Honda, but my wife just likes the size of it for some reason. I say blame the women for SUV's! ;)

That's a law we need for caravan drivers in the UK RIGHT NOW!! 👍

What grinds my gears?........#381

Having a low bank balance on the one Friday night in months I can get absolutely smashed in the boozer.

My misses has the only back card with money on it so I'm left with the one that's yielding a tenna, not that's it's too little money for these parts but it does mean I can't spend all night drinking Baileys.

I guess BeerLao is acceptable. :(

Baileys? BAILEYS?!! I thought only grannies drank that at christmas!

Is BeerLao not high on the 'Shem List of Acceptable Friday Night Tipples'? I presume you can get hold of Tsingtao there? I love that beer - when I lived in the UK I used to go to the Chinese supermarket in Greenwich and buy crates of it. Good times! 👍

Double Baileys with a Jameson is my main round off for the night. It calms me down from 'hyper Shem' to 'Pass out peacefully in the lobby Shem'

The BeerLao is good for a few but I prefer light beers having converted from cider since being in China. The flavour of beer is something I'm still becoming accustomed to. Tsingtao on the other hand I could drink by the keg but my local bar doesn't supply it.

I think I know the market you mean. I've wandered in there a few times to buy spiced duck neck. Is it the one close to the Weatherspoons?

Not sure if there was a Weatherspoons there, but it was SeeWoo on Horn Lane which is across the road from the large Sainsbury's with the grass roof and wind turbines. Used to drive up from Kent a couple of times a month to buy beer and super-cheap fresh fish and veg.

So in a way this post is almost the exact opposite of gear grinding... :dopey:

To counteract that, how come when the price of oil goes up so does the price of petrol, but it never comes down when oil does... :irked:

That's a good grumble. I can't say I can relate as I don't drive.

I've noticed recently, here at least, that rather than put up the price they reduce the size of the product and hope nobody notices.

A few months age I noticed that pop had gone from 600ml bottles to 500ml yet the price stayed the same. Sneaky communists!

To a point, you're right, at least as far as I'm concerned. I was perfectly content driving our Grand Prix or Civic in the snow. My wife? Not so much. Enter a Pilot and CR-V. Granted, living somewhere that get's way too much snow, it wasn't much of a hard sell to get me on board. But I do miss the Bose stereo in the Prix. A lot. :indiff:
