What have you done to your car today?

Well I am cheap when it comes to looks. The exhaust is by no means a cheap set up. Try and look for a Trust DD cat back system... you won't find one and if you did it would be the same or have the history that mine dose.

My number one priority is performance over everything else. And when I am looking for a new part I compare what every one makes and get the best I can with the money I have.
Sounds a lot like me. I don't know anything abotu Nissans, and especiall your exhaust. What's so special about? A special race car part or something?

2 how many guys run a front lip with dual rivets that aren't painted to match?
I don't really care whether the rivits are black or not, but this is possibly the worst reason possible for leaving them silver.

If you lower the front 5mm, won't that place the lip like 5mm from the ground? It's already a dime's height away.

Well, if you noticed, there's no muffler. Thats 1 thing that makes it special, and second, its rare as hell, and third, its actually properly sized, not a big can.

I'm sure there's other reasons, but whatever.

The picture shows a quarter but that is still pretty low. Wouldn't you scrape all the time? My Blazer's front air dam was about half a Coke can off the ground and it got severely owned numerous times.

I cleaned the dirt, dust, and trash out of the interior and cleaned up the wheels.

Here are some before and after pics...not that anyone cares but me. :D

Here's the before and after closer together so you can see the difference.

So how come you chose the Firebird rims over the stock Camaro rims?

2 reasons mainly.

  1. When my brother had the car someone offered him these for $160 w/tires.
  2. And I actually really like the way they look on 3rd gens.

I do get compliments on how they look. I mean don't they look good? And now that I've cleaned them up to look almost new I can forsee more compliments. :D

Haha they do look really nice cleaned up like that, but I'm a bit more biased towards the stock Z/28 5-spokes :sly:

Take a rattle can to the interior. It would look much better one solid color.

I agree, paint the interior.

Have you ever weighed your car since taking everything out?

The interior will get a healthy 2 coats of ceramic engine enamel paint (black) before I put down the vinyl flooring.

And all the interior weighed around ~200lbs when I took it out so I'd imagine my car weighs about 2,900lbs (1318kgs) with no interior and without my 207lb (94kgs) body. Stock with all interior parts the original curb weight was 3,103lbs (1410kgs) according to consumerguideauto.com.

Well it is no longer made so that is one thing that makes them hard to find and most people who have one don't want to sell it.
And this one was off of the Supermade S13 Show Car and Supermade them selfs cut the resonator out and clearanced it to fit perfectly.

Here is a picture of the car it was off of.

Yep I do and I :D every time

Plus I have learned where I can and cant go and how to pull into places with out scraping.

Well guys, tonight was full of fail.

I just replaced my bearing last weekend. Then I fixed my power steering and stereo.

And then tonight I was gifted by the transportation department of Dayton, Ohio, with a dented rim, blown tire, unknown suspension damage, and a flat spare tire.

MyEM114.jpg

What you can't really see from this perspective is that the steel plate is overlapping the hole, so when you dive into the hole the first thing your (my) tire hits is the plate. A twenty mile-per-hour impact, where the posted limit is 25. Completely unacceptable. I saw a guy in a G35 with the 19s run over it as I was changing my tire. Poor chap won't know what happened until his run-flats give out in a couple days. Good thing my cousin's CRX's spare fits around my rear brakes, or I would have had to get the Si towed.

So, I'm going to have my alignment-tech buddy assess the damage to my rim and maybe test it at the dealer with an in-stock tire. Hopefully I don't have to replace the rim, but either way I'm going to buy the cheapest replacement I can. I've got plans, ya know. I'll have Donovan check the alignment, too.

That sucks man.

You should have gotten a better picture of the hole though, I can't tell how big it is or anything.

Big as ****. Big as ****. Big as hell. Is that my blinker laying on the ground? I wouldn't doubt it, cause that's a big bitch.

Wow thats unfortunate.
There weren't any "Waning Steel Plate On Ground" signs? think about if someone is riding a motorcycle and hits that. They would be toast.

Nope, no warning. A cop showed up to warn people after I had already left the scene. Retard.

MyEM116.jpg

1991 CRX spare + 1999 Civic Si = FAIL. It wouldn't fit over my front brakes, but it's a better idea to put it on the lighter rear anyway.

Who wants some? :sly:

Are you trying to be one of those morons with stock wheels on the front and different wheels on the back?:p

Oh by the way, do you have any clue as to why there was a big metal plate on the ground?

That's a spare not a regular wheel...

And no... all his rims are same, and stock. And why call someone a moron cause they have different taste? Surely it's questionable, but I there are cars out there with different from/back combos that look awesome.

You know you can bitch to your cities DPW department and possibly get the repairs paid for. In Michigan three people have to complain before they do anything, which is dumb because if the idiots on the road crew just did their job in the first place there wouldn't be an issue.

They actually fix it if people complain? What a concept! I might recommend that to WSDOT.

I gave my car another bath yesterday. I actually got around to waxing it this time too so all those scratches Carter put on it from washing it dry are finally gone. And we have blue skies so it might actually be clean for a few hours this time.

It's a pain in the ass to do it though, I tried for about three months to get compensation when the Blazer bit it in a pot hole. They never did pay because they said I modded the suspension, therefore they wouldn't pay. Still to this day I don't understand how a blown tire could have been saved by having normal suspension when think back to the size of the hole. I hate Michigan's road commissions, they are staffed by idiots...and yes I worked for one for two summers.

The big metal plate used to cover the hole that he ran through.

I know, and it is possible. The hole is unavoidable if you're in the lane properly. A nice new G35 coupe with the 19s ran through it while I was standing there. Poor sap won't know what happened when his run-flats give out here in a day or two.

Yeah. Looks like the whole area underneath is gravel. Ummmm....they missed a spot! Retards.

I wonder if it's usable. Obviously the tire place will know, because they'll spin is and check for warpage and leaks and whatnot. If it's not bent a new bead might not seal anyway.

Pfft, he thinks reducing the weight in the rear will help is front wheel traction! No no no, hes trying out the reverse drag strip skinny method! Oh oh oh, he's...no I'm kidding.

Good thing it's FWD because a spare on RWD = suck. Sucks to hear about your car.

Dur I know that's a spare, I can read you know! :dunce: Anyways about the combos, you don't know what I mean. All the cars with combos around here...have a decent set of rear wheels and either stock alloys or stock steel wheels on the front....and they are all front wheel drives! It's one of the dumbest things to do to a car other than unpainted bodykits and giant spoilers.
