There's a big fat guy on the door at Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche (it might be the same guy. He might be triplets though). The PD crew just can't squeeze past him. They tried kicking him in the shins once, but he picked Masaaki Goto up and threw him a full 30 feet.

I forgot to add that Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini all have Caller ID, and whenever PD phone up, they all pretend to be out.

NICE ONE USERNAMED, THAT INSULT WAS BLINDING! It's called sarcasm, I also used it in response to your crappy insult too. "are you 5", I mean what am I meant to say when some one says something so lame? "Oh yes dear fellow, I am five". shhesshh

Famine says: Stop.

One more insult fling and it won't be ME saying "Stop". Understand?

it;s the PAL Prologue making of video... link is in the video sticky thread.

Famine... miss the creepy dude avatar... that thing was disturbing yet great at the same time 👍

as for the cars being already modelled... i will make an educated guess and say they're done and ready to go... just waiting for the license expiry from EA.

Why do i say that... there's a fully modelled Porsche in GT3...
8.jpg

It's not a ruf and not a skin... one of the hidden cars in Gran Turismo 3 is a Porsche 911 (996) GT3 with Porsche badging and "GT3" on the license plate in the same font that Porsche uses on the GT3 badging on the back.

I am willing to bet that a slew of Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, Masis and whatever else PD knows they are getting licenses for are modelled and ready to go. We just won't hear about them until there's legal clearance or the game is at it's release date to make a major sales push.

Make it a portaloo, they're faster to 60 and in top speed.

Wow, did this degenerate. Go team.

Hidden cars eh? I'm gonna have to go looking for AR codes this afternoon... Had no idea. Wouldn't that by illegal o_O

Ok. Now it is time to shut up.

I'm in the Dutch gamebizzzzzzzz i will be there when GT4 PRess event is coming.. however, i don't think there will be one. GT3 didn't have one...

And you know what? EA doesn't own the license. It's BS. Really, it is. EA Holland confirmed it to me. It's just the amount of money you want to pay to the manufactor. If you pay enough, you get the license. EA doesn't own the license, they only have the "right" to make cars in their games lust like Gotham 1 and 2. It is just the matter how much you will pay for the cars.

Tomorrow i will have a GOOD english "report" on this situation.

You buy "cars/license for a game" and not a contract for years with Lambo or anything like that.

Oh well... You buy a license for some cars. You can use in every game you want to make but other companies can also buy the license and use it in their games. No exclusives ****.

GTXLR
Most people that buy these cars buy them for the history behind them.
The Name itself, The racing pedigree.
That plus the Status of owning one.
The look and the sound are also what intrests many buyers.
How many do you see racing round the streets?
they are not exactly worried if it can do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds or 4.8.
I see at least one Ferrari a day and untold Porsches, most are driven by middle aged business men with more money than they no what to do with.
Most are driven sensibly (not sure what Ian Wright was upto the other day when he totaled his Ferrari on a tree in suburban london), you very rarely see one burning away from the lights.
The inclusion in a video game is not going to influence any one in to purchasing one.

Although prestigious car manufacturers like Ferrari and also Porsche rely mostly on their car sales to drive their business, they are not in the automobile industry simply to garner maximum profits, like a Toyota or a GM.

Monetary profits are good.. but to these car makers, the prestige and image of their brand is as or more important than simply raking in cash from car sales. Ferrari in particular would benefit greatly in being included in GT4... if not for increased sales, then increased brand exposure and enhancement of the Ferrari moniker amongst the general public.

Well ssibangse you're technically right in that EA doesn't 'own' the license, they're just a signatory to it, and a beneficiary. However, because of the license they do have in place, it means other companies have to pay both Ferrari (for example) and EA to include a Ferrari in a game. Now, if Microsoft turns up with a blank cheque and says they need an Enzo, EA smile and nod. But if PD were to try the same thing, they'd find EA asking for a lot of money, and whatever PD offers, Microsoft will match to ensure they don't get access.

I doubt any of us know the actual wording of the license in question, so exclusivity may very well be on it, and likely is.

search the GT3 forum... i think there's a bunch of threads and links to codes for the hidden cars... use "hidden cars" for your search... that's how i found out about the porsche to being with... there's also the Stratos, a Skyline VSpec R34 Type M, the Diablo (but i think it's only on NTSC versions) and a couple of others.

Can PD get liscense to RACING cars rather then the road cars such as a porsche GT1 or the ferrari 575 GTC? EA does not have liscense to that.

Thank you Eagle for answering that I was thinking noone would look at the thread for some reason. so this is good then We just might have ferrari's and porsche's and lambo's in the game.
