Just as the title says, I am searching to find what the best LMP car is at about 700PP. I am thinking around 700PP because some cars have about 620PP while others have about 680.

The LM55 or the Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd.

Edited because I may have put Group C cars

The Peugeot 905 has many great virtues and few flaws, save for its non-premium visuals.

For me Toyota GT one... But I detune all lmp\group C\GT1 cars to real life spec. So my GT one have 650 pp and 636 hp with oil change.

My first choice would likely be the Audi R8. That car is good pretty much everywhere and has been in GT4,5 and 6. Was pretty dominate in real life as well.

Get the 787B, R8 '01, or the '03 or '05 Pescarolos. I'd personally prefer the 787B.
The '03 Pescarolo is probably a better contender against the lmp2 class cars. Though with the right tune it is definitely good nonetheless.

The fastest LMP? Either of the Pescarolos or the Audi R8 prototype.

The best LMP? The Mazda 787B by far. You just can't beat that earagasm-inducing rotary scream, and on top of that it's a very fast and incredibly fun to drive car. Oh, and it's easily the best-looking prototype ever, IMO.

The Pesky Hybride - Judd 2005 hands down. In the hands of the AI it's just godly.

The R8 and 905 are contenders too however.

One of the best tests of any LMP car is, "How well does it do at the 24 Minutes of LeMans?

The 905B takes the lead on speed alone (against the Pesky Hybride and R8), and protects it well with low, balanced tire tire wear and outstanding fuel economy. Even with trimmed out wings, the handling is quite forgiving.

Considering only non Group C cars, and true paces, we've got this:

1 - Peugeot 908 HDI FAP '10 --------------- [3'19'074] - LMP1
2 - Toyota TS030 Hybrid '12 --------------- [3'24'842] - LMP1-H
3 - Audi R18 TDI '11 ------------------------ [3'25'289] - LMP1
4 - Toyota TS020 GT-One '99 -------------- [3'29'930] - LMGTP
5 - Audi R10 TDI '06 ------------------------ [3'30'466] - LMP1
6 - BMW V12 LMR '99 ----------------------- [3'31'209] - LMP
7 - Audi R8 '01 ------------------------------ [3'32'429] - LMP900
8 - Bentley Speed 8 '03 -------------------- [3'32'843] - LMGTP
9 - Pescarolo Courage C60 Judd '04 ------- [3'34'252] - LMP1
10 - Pescarolo C60 Judd Hybride '05 ------ [3'34'715] - LMP1
11 - Nissan GT-R LM '15 -------------------- [3'35'888] - LMP1-H
12 - Mercedes CLK LM '98 ------------------ [3'36'901] - GT1
13 - Audi R8 Team Oreca '05 -------------- [3'38'281] - LMP1
14 - Zytek Z11SN Greaves '13 ------------ [3'40'100] - LMP2
15 - Nissan R390 GT1 '98 ------------------ [3'40'649] - GT1
16 - Panoz Esperante GTR 1 '98 ----------- [3'40'730] - GT1
17 - Pescarolo Courage C60 Peugeot '03 -- [3'40'839] - LMP900
18 - McLaren BMW F1 GTR '97 ------------- [3'45'402] - GT1

But almost everything is wrong ingame, with the '05 Pescarolo and Audi R8 '01 as fastest cars. For me, only few cars are well balanced, like the Peugeot 908, or the Toyota TS030.

You know I haven't used them in a long time but the 2001 R8 used to annihilate all others, and it could go within 5 secs/lap of the Formula GT on Sarthe and Monza.

I'm sure the LM55 VGT would smoke all the "real world" cars in the game although of course GT6 cars sound and drive a fair bit different that's for sure. The 2001 R8 is definitely way faster than the modern premiums, dont listen to people saying otherwise its grip and top speed are unbeatable except by LM55 or a Formula car.

Unrealistic speed by, Especially the standards, The Modern cars should should be faster but typically aren't from the group C cars in the game. When I say that consider that Group C cars lapped in the 3:30 range In real life and modern cars on tighter iterations of Le Mans are hitting under 3:20. If you drive the Toyota hybrid it will lap a good 5 secs off its living brethren. Some of the cars will be about the same though, like the new Nissan that featured in GTA, that is alot faster than its real life counterpart
