I will be reading the apex. Making a shrine above my TV on the wall for all the other kool stuff. Cleaning my man cave (probably the last time I will do it in lord knows how long). Take a very extensive shower(probably my last one as well). Calling in sick for work the next day, getting my doctor to write up some sick leave, putting in vacation right after sick leave. Then last but not least kiss the wife and daughter.... they will miss me for a few days! of course food and water have been stocked up! (yes there is beer but i don't drink and drive!!)
Maybe this is a bit irrelevant, but I can justify my following question by saying that I came back in after using the GT5 install time wisely by working on installing a oil temp gauge in my car
Question: After installing GT5 files. Trying to do a lap on Trial Mountain, during the FR challenge in Beginners series in Spec-A. And the loading has now gone on for 20 mins.. Wasnt the install supposed to DECREASE loading times?
Finish work at 4, go to blockbuster and collect game, put it in the PS3. While installing I shall cook some dinner, eat dinner, maybe have a shower if I have time, get my Turbo s wheel set up and then play til I can play no more!
2 hours!! the mrs finishes work at 7 so it better not or I won't be playing til thursday morning! hopefully my 10mb virgin should speed that up but it could be the servers if everyone is downloading it.
when i get home i will call the pizza dudes, order a pizza, then get on my bike and get GT from the fairly nearby gameshop (got the text that its ready for me )
when i get home i`l start the install, and during that time the pizza should arrive.
Eat pizza, browse Gtplanet forums, check my daily sites, stare at the progress bar and go "why is it taking this long?!?"
My install/update time will be taken up by a combination of reading the Apex book, watching the first day of the first Ashes Cricket test on the TV and possibly reading the December issue of Top Gear magazine as it usually is delivered on the last Thursday of the month.
My update only took a few minutes, and that's on a crappy 4Meg ADSL line. The install literally took exactly 40 minutes - at times it whisked along, and others it would just seem to hang there. Anyway, it's all done now, ready for play later tonight.
take the dog for a walk, look around at the real world for the last time in a real long time, and jump up and down like a little kid on x mas. Its should be here any minute.
