What will be the first thing you do when you get GT4?

Actually, I will probably make some phone calls and invite over some skeptics,
like a couple of XBox owners I know...and also my eldest brother who didn't believe that the video of the Alpine in Paris could have come from a PS2. His brand-new HP Pavillion notebook could never reproduce such slick graphics, so he is sure it must be rendered CG.

I probably won't visit GTP for a week or two, ahh who am I kidding. I'll be the first one on here with a full review. (don't hold me to that ) I'm torn between doing arcade or simulation first. Arcade gets you the tracks faster, but sim is way more funner. Any input?

Yes, indeed we do. Did you know that I've timed myself and improved to less than 7 seconds to ban someone? It's even less to recycle a thread.

We'll have this forum well regulated by the time it is released, and yes, I expect my report to moderator button to light up like a christmas tree.

I'm going to savor the moment, put the disc in and play for 5 straght hours. I think i will start with the liscences first, and then begin to tackle sim mode. i might do a little in arcade mode to get the hang of the new views and physics.

You know what would suck, if you just put the GT4 disk in for the first time, you turn on the T.V, the intro starts 2 seconds into the introduction movie, the power goes out.

It would suck even more if you had just bought the game and were eagerly ripping the plastic off. You reach to put the disc in the PS2 and..... you trip and fall cracking the disc.

I might laugh out loud from the joy of having gt4. The most important thing I will do when I get gt4 is go online and get my name which will be ofcourse cobragt. I might check out the lobbies and what not, might have a quick race with a noob

First: Go get the game from Gamestop where I have it reserved...

Second: Get home as fast as possible, unwrap it while weaving through trafficly, and Yelling GET OUT OF THE WAY I HAVE TO PLAY GAMES!

Third: Rush in the door, throw in the disc, hope it works on my PS2 (3rd edition PS ><)

Fourth: Quit work, and play forever!

First thing I'll do, I'll go to story mode thingy, buy a car, do the first 2 licenses, race, upgrade car etc etc

I'll go online when I think I'm feeling stupid enough to actually pay money for a network adaptor (which I will)

I will want to, but I'm not going to go online right away. I want to develop a good rep online, so I'm gonna spend most of the first week or two or even three offline, polishing my already decent skills with the new and improved physics engine. I don't want to have so many losses right away that I get labeled as a *newbie*, and people use me just to win

I think the online community will be big enough that you wouldn't have to worry about being branded a "newbie" for very long at all - the people you race with once you may never see again

However, it is much more fun when you can come straight in and drive fast at the very first level. Plus, I suppose they'll probably be storing your whole race history, so messing up your win loss ratio could be annoying...but I equally dislike people who obsess so much about the ratios they do anything to avoid losing - especially race only noobs.

Tell my girlfriend that she has been wonderful and I'll miss her dearly. Then I'm guessing that I will spend so much time playing the game that I'll forget how to speak, my muscles will atrophy (all but the hands of course) and then slip into a light coma due to lack of sleep and sustenance.

I'm not noob to gt code. I have gt4p so I know what to expect. I'm going to be offline for a while aswell to sharpen my skills. The first track I will try to master is the Ring. If I can master the Ring, I can master any track.

2. Sit back on the couch with my girlfriend and watch the whole intro.
3. Play some arcade and online races.
4. Play the Drift mode!
5. Play Simulation mode to earn enough to get nice drift cars.
6. Drift, tune, play online, drift, tune, play online etc...

When you all talk about the ring, which track are you talking about? Im thinking either the autumn ring (which i really wish was in gt3...) or the high speed ring, but i doubt you are talking about the speed ring.

The first thing I will do is do what ever it takes to get a skyline around the nurb. Then I will do what ever it take to take the Ford GT40 ( new ) around the nurb. My 2 most important goals.
