the razgriz, i'm not THAT big of a beginner. I can drift a Amuse S2000 R1 Really well. Its just that I dont enjoy drifting it, it seems to have limitations.
Is there such thing as an unlimited car?

All cars have limits, hence the term "pushing it to the limits."

The Amuse's are actually quite high, way higher than most of the other cars.

i'll try it. and where do you live? napa?

thats where you can find me

the m3 is crazy slidy so theres no problem getting it to rotate then its just throttle control to keep it going where you want

i think i suped it up till llike a little less than 400 horse power

any s chassis car.

S13 to S15

RX7 FC3S's would be great.

havent tried much of the supra's, too much power.

you can try using the Z33 fairladies, but use the NA tuning to get the best throttle response.

350Z's are good. almost any RWD toyota and nissan would work. Infiniti G35 coupe works as well.

there are lots more, but the best to use is some type of Silvia, old or new, they were born to drift. drifting something like a BMW would be tricky

i'd say a 240 or silvia, but any powerful and stable rear wheel car will do. some muscle cars also get the job done pretty well. just gotta turn off the driving aids

Some people say to stay near the 250hp makr right? well i object try this on for size 2 700 horse power beasts a R34 Skyline and a M5 on S1 tires or N2 i forgot which one but i took then on a pratice on Fuji 80's no probelem. Now back to the topic i would say an 4WD would be a good car to start off with because FR rear tires werar out too quickly. Oh and btw what is a good track to pratice drifting

A good track to practice is Trial Mountain, Fuji speedway, and Autumn Ring Mini-reverse
Another way that you could decide which car to use, is use the same car as your favorite pro drifter..
"I like Kazama, I suppose I will use an S15 Silvia"

I like the S14 Silvia. I know that I already said something else earlier in this thread, but I changed my mind. The Silvia is good to start with because the steering is just right. It doesn't overseer or understeer to much. I had to re-learn how to drift when i got my DFP, and my weapon of choice is the S14. In just 2 days I'm drifting better than I did in 2 weeks last time i tried to learn. This car has a significant part in doing that. In stock form it is very good. I haven't even had to up the power even though it only had around 200hp, it can do this because it has massive torque loads. I have no complaints about this car.

Nice review!*
um, one problem about it Blitz, You spelled it's name wrong, now he's a little angry.
I suppose you are finally learning the steering part, and not worrying about whether or not you'll bog.

Yeah, Yeah get off my back, when I typer that i woke up about 5 min. before, so I was still asleep, plus in my haziness, my auto spell check told me to switch it, since i was asleep, i thought i spelled it right, but i didn't.

Thanks, once again for having my back bro.
My apologies, i wont type anymore until i wake up from now on.

I think the best car to start drifting with is the mr2 gt-s. I, like many others started with the 240sx(rps13) and just wanted to try something different other than the real world usual. I love it cause even with my current 330hp, I can give it full throttle in second gear and have traction on straights unlike the 240sx. At that power level the 240 would be lucky to see traction until fourth maybe. The mr2 power delivery is silky smooth and I drift better with it than my 240sx and I didn't have to touch suspension settings although I upgraded to racing and lowered it for looks.

Would you recommand full-race suspension or semi-race suspension for beginners?

well racing suspension is better for the intermediate to expert drifter (im a noob but i find the racing sus to be a lot stronger when tuned to the right settings) so freally its all about feel rather than who says what. so go with what you think suits your type of drifting:tup:

i'm a big fan of the MR and RR cars for drifting... i personally use the the RUF rgt with standard road tires. modded to the max, with NA stage 3. i think it makes something like 550hp, but it's low on tq (since most of the power is after 5250 in the rpm band), which helps with traction problems. i don't use e-brake... mostly feint drifting, aka the "scandanavian flick" 👍

i find the toms chaser slightly tuned is a very well car to start with but that is just my take on things i use it now and im not an noob but i also like the fd

The Car I learned on was a Nissian Silva 93' Aero (settings from the new setting depot).

The Car I recommend is 99' Nissian Silva R Aero (in the Used Showroom II) with the setting from the new settings depot.

The Most Fun is the Sphyker C8 Laviolette IMO.

HAVE FUN

i think i learned in a s14 or s15. But later I learned these cars suck. haha. Pretty much, cars that have ****ty handling, would drift slow or wouldn't grip as well going sideways. The S15 doesn't have terrible handling but its not great. I always use a car with great handling for drifting.for instance, the car i mainly use is the Amuse S2000.

its light and with some power, it flys through the corner sideways

BTW, the S14 and S15 are great cars, some of the best actually, in some peoples minds.

The best car for me, personally, is the AE86, with the rest of the cars, don't know why, I use to lose a lot of speed during the drift. Someone recommended me AWD but for me, they are weird...

Still, If you ask me for the best car to drift, I would recommend any AWD with a lot of Acceleration, thats what everyone recommends, thats what someone recommended to me, but I managed to drive faster an AE86.

Maybe because I am not good enough to drive fast cars :grumpy:

My personal opinion would have to ride with the RX-7 after owning two for several years. But I would agree that S15s, R34s and AE86 Truenos/Corollas wouldn't be taking wins if they weren't good either. Just the RX-7 is so well balanced that it makes an excellent Drifter...bone stock too, just enough power if you can manage the clutch/throttle combination correctly. The 240 is an easy car to learn on.

its always good to see another aussie drifter (aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi)lol i reccommend the skyline gtr v spec . it is a weapon of a track car and also a extreme slide machine. go to drift settings depot find you're self some sweet settings get used to it and it will perform up to and over you're standard for drifting i can drift every corner at midfield and can link the 1st -2nd corner and 6th-7th and the long hairpin all with  angles:tup:💡

sladey121 you are exactly right with everything u mentioned. plus another good track for the skyline is gvs and trial mountain. the hairpin in midfield is the best ever!

A car that i would reccomend for begginner drifters is the '02 Mazda RX-7 Spirit-R (FD3S). This wasnt my first drift car but i tried it out and immediatly fell in love:)
All i done to mine was stick on some N1 tires, oil change and turned off the driving aids.
I then attacked Deep Forest with it and was amazed with the ease that this car drifts, its so balanced and you can really throw it into the corners and has enough power to get you steaming out of the exits, but not too much that the car becomes tricky.

A top buy! 👍

Dont know if anyone said it already but the rx7 92, 95 RZ and the 97 RS-R are perfect no tuning needed it only gets better with tuning
