15 cars battling for position without any mega crashes?

Well, that's not quite the case, there has been a fair share of contact as well, but no safety cars so far.

Also I have a feeling that if I can find the right thing, we may soon have our very own series meme.

Well, some contact is to be expected, as long as no one drives like Kogay things should be fine. We can do without incidents like the ones at Monza...

Also, I fear for our collective sanity if you're about to create yet another series meme.

Just this once, trust me, it'll be great

Should we really though, knowing the crazy stuff you do behind the scenes?

Trusting you? That's like asking Heero Yuy to trust Treize Khushrenada, or ask the American people to trust Donald Trump. I mean, that might be helpful and honest, but the chances of getting buried/betrayed/laser'd to bits are just way too high...

Oh you hopeful Brazilian. Just stick to your job of offering your engine knowledge to SRT and aiding our cause, will ya? :sly:

I've effectively been in every B-spec race. I've won two of the if-not-100-close-to-it number of races. If I have to go get a tank to win again, the only question will be Abrams or Challenger.

Comstock/Moravec takes pole at Zandvoort

The pairing in the #87 Viper (pictured following the #60 Agaton Ford GT) took pole position in a tightly-contested qualifying.

Taylor Comstock and Christapher Moravec will have the best view of the road ahead when the first round of the GT3 World Series kicks off at Zandvoort this week. Yesterday, the team qualified on pole position for the race after a stunning lap from Comstock in the first of the two 15-minute qualifying sessions, with the Viper looking at home on Dutch circuit.

Comstock managed a time of 1:39.386, only 2/100ths of a second faster than the car joining them on the front row, the #60 Agaton Team Ford GT, piloted by Diomedes Nikolaidou and Anderson Cage.

And it was the Ford GTs that would really leave a stamp on qualifying. When the time had run out for the second session, three of them had made it into the top 6 - a clear mark that they are to be taken seriously.

The entire qualifying results can be found below.

Ok, that last part in the qualifying standings was worth a laugh, with that sort of organization... Oh morten, you never cease to amaze us.

Also, I didn't want to say "I told you so", but... you know. :sly: 'Murica won't take the Beemer threat lightly...

What can I say, I actually forgot there was another page with cars' qualifying times and that I usually do qualifying reports

I should also just mention one thing: Previously, you'd get points just for being, well, anything above 21st and it didn't matter if you actually finished.

The way things are done this season means that you *have to* finish in order to score points and lose weight. So yes, if half the field is wiped out by a huge crash, we may have a situation where points are only given down to 12th rather than 20th place.

Classic oblivious Morten is oblivious, really. Who are you, a member of the France family?

Smart move, now you are preventing anyone from capitalizing on GTR2's dumb A.I. by DNF-ing and still getting the ballast reduction and points. And even if there are enough crashes to reduce the field to naught, you'll still not give bonuses to anyone below a certain given position...

Guess it's safe to say that to finish properly, first you must finish. Should be interesting to see how much will this affect the points race...

Well, it has some good and bad sides, but hopefully it'll work. Well, it has to, it's too late to turn back now.

Besides, it does hopefully make sense that you have to finish in order to get some benefits.

Well, I think that the good outweighs the bad so far (plausibly better battles with drivers having to race properly in order to get points), and it does make sense that you need to finish to count as a points finish, just like completing the race distance in Le Mans to not be classified as a DNF driver.

Damn, 15th '-' 9 tenths behind pole is not bad though..

C'mon @HKS racer you gotta step up bro.
"Lamborghini and Ferrari are not 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th? WTF Conspiracy!!1!1" says an angry HKS racer, leaving the track with no further comments. (Probably because he is going to be banned by the exhausted Gtplanet Moderators Team).

Bernie Saurus asked about poor performance says "Well my track engineer HKS racer could be worse than Maurizio Arrivabene on post race interviews, so I'm not impressed. Oh and I'm just 215 years old actually so I don't really care about youngest generations anyway. Now excuse me I need to go at the Rolex PR meeting event."
