So, most of us have a habit of giving our car a 'name', for whatever reason.

The question is, what do you call your car, and why?
I personally haven't named my car yet, because I've yet to think of anything imaginative enough. :p

:)

I never actually gave our truck a name...it was always called a "she" though.

We've named every single one of our cars (including the family vehicles!).

Best ones were;

Zaphod - A3 VW Jetta
Mr. Miyagi - Mazda B2000
Kyoko - Del Sol

Sure there's more, somewhere in my memories...

My dad's old Honda was named "la rabiosa" or "the rabid one" because of te sounds it made. It was a 4 cylinder 88 Honda accord that had been involved in a couple of crashes and had holes in the exhaust.
His current E92 M3 is called "the dog" because in the first year he had it he only took it out for "walks" and didnt do much more than 7k in the first year.
I haven't named the E39 but I'm thinking along the lines of big Bertha or something like that.

She? She?

Aw naw. My Mondeo is a he. He's called Bruiser, because of his paint. It's Panther Black Pearlescent, so it shifts from black to purple in the sun. Black and purple are colours of a bruise, so... the name Bruiser was formed!

I just call the Lincoln "The Lincoln". But if I ever get a Ford Taurus (hopefully that will never happen) I will definitely call it the Taurasaurus Rex.

I think we've only reference our truck as a she a few times, the other times it's usually always called "the truck".

First thing that came to mind for the MR2 was Murderer

I dont give vehicles a "gender" so I always say It, however I name all of them. Here are some past and current:
Past:
Eagle talon:Sam
N/A Rx7:Rye
FZR:Fizzer
Subaru Legacy:Scooby
2nd Subaru Legacy:Scooby Ruu

Currently:
Turbo Rx7:Takahashi
Saturn SL2:Jupiter
R1:Mertyle

Skyline: The Cereal Box
Sierra: Project Suzi
Accord: "VTEC, Yo!"
WRX: The Rex, Sexy Rexy, Sic Em.

Fun fact: "Sic Em" came from "Sic 'em, Rex!" which was the tagline for a bunch of famous ads from an Australian women's lingerie company. Since most people who have WRXs here call them "Rexes", they understand what it means :3

My truck is "ol' Betsy." Not sure where that name came from, but it stuck.

Interesting, I though it was because they call subarus "scoobys" and scooby is a dog.

Hmm...
RX-7: Rex
Police Interceptor: Vicky
Mustang: Emily
Camaro: Kate's dirty sister
Corvette: Scarlett

I never gave our cars names, and I don't refer to them as a specific gender either. I could see the Mini as a Roland, though. :dopey:

She is sadly called Truck. I'm at the age where I need a vehicle for utility versus fun. I'm also at the point that I wish I could buy a few of my old cars back.

I've never named my car as such, but it does get referred to as the "Ka-ttro", as in "I'm just gonna go fire up the Ka-ttro". :D

I'd tell the names of my old car which was a Ford Taunus, but that would violate AUP and break the swear filter. :guilty::O

"The :censored:box"?

According to my father, our family's old lincoln Mk III is affectionately known as a "****ING PIECE OF **** THAT CAN'T RUN FOR IT'S MISERABLE LIFE. CALL THE ****ING TOW TRUCK."

how sweet <3
