What kind of TV setup are you playing your PS2 on?  I've got a 36' Sony.  But, it's not a WEGA...    No special stereo system, either.

50''?  Man, that's nice.  Is it HDTV ready?

32 Toshiba TV, custom-built 600 watt Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround system with 120 watt 10 subwoofer.

Playstation 2 plugged in via S-Video for the ultimate in quality.

I like that, Alt.  Can you tell a big difference with the S-Video?

Yes, there is a BIG difference.  I highly recommend that anyone who has the S-Video capability on their television should get the S-Video cables.  They are only $10 and make a world of difference.

Whoa, I never expected they would do that much, but it sounds like I need to check it out.  I'm not even sure if my large TV has S-Video!

Cool on the 50 inch and poor phil!

An 8-track stereo?  Man, have you taken tried to get that thing on the Antique Roadshow?  I don't know if I've even seen one of those things!

Heheh...I'm probably the only person in my age group that knows how to fix an 8-track cassette where the tape has been pulled out of the cassette.

  I'd say you are.  I wouldn't know how to play an 8-track.  :)

27 magnavox...

Polk Center, Infinity 2000.3 Fronts, Huge old rears (70's vintage - dual 8's plus tweeters).

2 JL 12W1-8 Subwoofers mated to a dedicated 250W solid-state amp, in a custom sealed enclosure.

(Crappy) sony reciever (100x5)
Technics Dolby Digital processor with Lucasarts Cinema Re-EQ

I got a SONY Vega flat screen tv with a SONY Sava D900 Digital Surroud sound. Its sweet, and YEAh the S-Video cables are a MUST BUY ! They kick ass ! Later. Why didnt GT3 come out today on the 10th like it suppose to ? I am MAD !!

I have a Sony Vega XBR --36
Ps2 hooked up with Component cables to Denon 3600 ( it does component switching between PS2 and DVD player)
Optical audio out to Denon
NHT Sub 1--(500 watt dual (both powered and seperated) 10's)

Sweet setups, guys!  Does the HDTV really improve the quality of games?

I've connected the PS2 to my HK DTS receiver via component cables for video and optical for audio.  The TV is a 36 Sony Wega (though not the XBR), and the 5.1 audio setup is also HK.

'Tis a sweet, sweet setup...  :D
