When is the next DLC coming?

:sly:👍

I think that is more likely to be the case. It might be just me, but does anyone find that it is quite a coincidence that when GT5 freeroam became a big thing on the forums and feedback section of :gtplanet: , Forza Horizon gets announced?

Yes it is. A coincidence. Nothing more.

I'm never said that, I'm pretty sure that they did. But remember that ForzaPlanet doesn't nearly have as much members and activity that GTPlanet does.

There is an official Forza forum you know, with 300,000+ members.

If some DLC comes out, I'll buy it, if not, I still haven't raced every car around every track. I still haven't done so much, GT5 is endless fun, I'm sure I'll play it virtually daily until the next GT comes out as I have done since the first day the first GT came out.

Forza? No thanks.

This isn't about "hating" on GT5, just to be clear. However, as an automotive enthusiast, MOST of the cars that I like are in the "other" game. As someone said earlier in the thread, GT5 is just too oversaturated with the same cars in different configurations. Variety, as some people have stated, is the lifeblood of racing game/sim longevity.

Shouldnt the thread title have a prefix of June/July? Or are we passed that now?

This. Over and over. Variety and great range. Turn10 has the best list of automobiles I've witnessed as a gamer.

This is exactly what I was getting at. I am really enjoying the variety of cars on Forza. Really like the muscle cars they have. PD really needs to get with the program as far as variety go.

PD needs to do something quick. Forza is really kicking as in the DLC and content department.

I'm beginning to regret getting my G27 for GT5, considering I can't use it with the xbox and FM4.

I know what you mean. I'm currently "old schooling" it with the controller for Forza till I can get a wheel for it. Kinda sucks that I have to buy another wheel.

They only person you can blame here is Kaz and for most of the people that actually believe they are hearing what they want to hear.

Kaz said DLC should follow every month or SO. So we are led to believe DLC will be constant. Well I guess that didn't work out. To me honestly they know they have so many fans that they think they are bullet proof. Or that staying on a schedule has a meaning.

I really appreciate their effort in patching this game and trying to work everything out but how can anything stay true or constant when the game always needs patches?

On topic: I think we will get one more dlc that will be judged as mediocre with cars that some will like and most will not like.

I wonder if there even is a DLC #4 at all. :| Ugh, I guess it's GTA...

I am glad we have GTA 2012 though. I wonder what happens when it's finished. O.O

The options on the dlc status are simply two: they have something big in the works or they have anything yet/at all.

Honestly i always had the idea that their organization with dlcs is poor, the packs were just too "random".

Somebody who is amazing at Gran Turismo 5 will get picked to drive in real life, that's what will happen  .

The next DLC will be coming out June 5th at 12:42.55 EST. I asked my magic eight ball 9 times in a row, and 8 times came back positive. You're welcome.

This is the most heartbreaking aspect of GT5 in general. PD wasted their time rendering the stupidest **** instead of content that the majority of the fanbase would enjoy.

"Hey Kaz, the fanbase really seems to like some car called a BMW E30 M3. Maybe we should add it to the next batch of DLC." "Nah, let's just add a Leaf and a Mini Countryman since I like those cars, and call it a day".

Arrggg, sorry for the off-topic rant...

It's fair to say that the DLC has been a disappointment, compared to other games in the genre. But with PD's track record with delays and failing to achieve, this isn't really a surprise.

I'm not mad, just disappointed.

It's rather sad really, I mean seriously. The first DLC sold well, why would PD stop is beyond me. :\ They're really falling behind nowadays...

Turn 10 is better than PD/Kaz at listening and giving GT5 players what they want except its on the XBox and Forza. PD is their own worst enemy.

I've long since stopped expecting anything from them except simple fixes etc that really add nothing major to the GT5 experience. GT5 needs an entire overhaul to compete with the newer games if Forza and especially Project Cars are any indication of where this genre is heading.

Does it really matter what the next DLC is when you still will be shackled with playing the same lame race series offline? Or the same lame handicapped seasonals online? Same lame tire wear issues? Patches that break major things then need patching again? PD needs to get their act together and no DLC is going to hide or makeup for that fact imho.

This this and this. 👍

I hate to say this, but I said this in another thread: I would absolutely welcome a new staff/leader to the GT series.

As far as DLC is concerned: It's almost been 5 whole months since DLC 3. Another tiny car pack containing 4 vehicles isn't going to make any dents into GT5's mediocre carlist.

It's 2012 and there is still 0 premium Cadillacs, Pontiacs, Plymouths, Saleens, Spykers, RUF's, etc.

What would that change exactly?

1) Why do people insist on coming on here and asking us these questions like we work for PD and know the answer?

2) And why must every conversation turn into Forza vs. GT bickering nonsense?

:ouch:

These are two very good questions.
Especially the second one.

Personally I couldn't care less what DLC Forza would get.
I just play games on PS3 because I don't own a xbox or a PC capable of running any decent games.

And are all cars I would want to drive in GT5 off course not.
But so be it...
