They had GT academy "North America" that didn't include half of North America,
So I think someone should start a petition for the other half of North America, let us Canadians have an opportunity to compete.

I think that is never going to happen!!!

Technically, depending on whther or not you count Mexico, Canada is over half of North America. But yes, it annoys me when people from the US think they are the only country in NA.

I third that. But it is too late for a GT Academy now...

They think they're the only country in America by calling themself "americans".

Exactly. That's why I hesiated callign them that.

GT Academy named it "North American". We're not stupid so don't try and talk down to us because we live in the United States of AMERICA and therefor AMERICANS. Canadians are from Canada, which is part of North America and wasn't included even though the name was North American GT Academy. If you want to complain, call the head of GT Academy instead of taking **** about a country you've probably only seen pictures of.

Didn't you guys hear?

Canada is on strike. (language warning)

I don't understand where this comes from... Who would say that?
Though technically, you should know, more land mass then Canada, in any case, Mexico means neither is close to "half" of NA.

??? "America" is a country, "the United States of America", then there's "North America" the continent, and "South America" the continent.
I guess if you're being improper and referring to continents and countries by the same names, our little buddies down below, ahem.. "South America" would also fit into the category "Americans", and should be included as well. ;)

In any case, semantics aside, GTAcademy should have been all NTSC region (NA) the first time, and it should be the second time also.

No need for 37 country specific GTAcamdemy's, just start including the people that should have been included in the last one...💡

Dear neighbors to our North,

Look Canada, you had your chance of having America in your name, but we just acted faster.

Sincerely awesome,

U.S. of A.

North, central, and south are just subdivisions not continents.

For us spanish speakers you are "estadounidenses" as in "united statens" or whatever, not "americanos" as in "americans". Only you call yourselves americans.

We're all better drivers so it would be unfair if the top 16 were all Canadian. :p

North america is a continent not a country ya hosers. This thread is going blow up and get nasty real soon

We agree it's a continent.

Yes.

But it's a continent that's dominated by the United States of America.:)

^I agree with the Florida part.👍

Post that in the funny picture thread.

Wrong, back to school.
"Central America" isn't a continent.👍

For us spanish speakers you are "estadounidenses" as in "united statens" or whatever, not "americanos" as in "americans". Only you call yourselves americans.
Fantastic.👍
Since when did outside countries have a say in the names of others?

So what's a Canadian? Mexican? American?
Welcome to what they're called on the continent in question. :sly: (Yes I've been to Canada, go figure, they called me an "American")

Now, semantics aside, resume thread without ignorant bickering about titles aside, so thread may remain open.

It is a numbers thing. How many PS3's and GT5's sold in the United States versus Mexico and Canada?

Obviously the U.S.A. is a bigger market for PD, Sony and Nissan.

Maybe Canada will get a rally GT Academy, driving on snow eh :)

Neither are South America nor North America.

Using that logic, Europe, Asia and Africa are not continents either, as they all connect to each other.

Really? I need to go back to school.

North and South America are just subdivisions of America. Period.

If you are taught otherwise, then is not my problem.

We have 7 continents. Period.

Africa
Antartica
Asia
Europe
North America
South America
Australia

With your logic we would have 4.

Edit:

I don't know why I even bothered to join this discussion.

The seven-continent model is usually taught in China and most English-speaking countries.

The six-continent combined-America model is sometimes taught in Latin America and in some parts of Europe including Greece, Portugal and Spain

You are taught otherwise. There is no need to "send me to school", you high and mighty american.

That's funny because all of us spanish speakers on the American continents call folks from the United States, americanos...

I'm no High and Mighty American.
I am a High Dutch guy.

Oh, and by the way, I said, I need to go back to school, not you.
