both. when i started, i used N2's on a stock 95 cappachino. slow as hell froze over, but it gives you time to learn the right steering. i now use the same cappachino with turbo, flywheel, drive shaft, everything. i also like to switch around the era's of cars, ill drift an old skyline then a new one, and that makes you apreciate the technology that most people ignore.

true that man 👍 cars have reallly come along:)

I just drifted an old school MR2 the other night. I was surprised at how good it was. It was pretty much stock, didn't change any settings. Except turning the aids off of course. :) I recommend it, very good car in my opinion. 👍

Here's a pic for your viewing pleasure. :)

This was a picture taken for the current photo competition.

A Rally Car. Recently I did a Lap Time Trial on Super License with a Castrol Lancia Rally, Don't know its name but its "legendary". It slid pretty well in Capri

👍 Rally Cars are great for many reasons, especially since they are already tuned in such a way as to grip with the front and swing the rear through turns on dirt and snow tracks. Just slap some N2/N3 tires on there, and put it on a street track. 👍

Now, if you don't go that route, try to look for something light with high power and comparable torque. Some cars are just naturally prone to drift, and if I go stock, I usually go with something like a Honda S2000.

yeh thats your sister. you should try explaining the plot of "the matrix" to your nan!:banghead: GTR 4wd/rwd system isn't that complicated, but it is the best in the world. (fans of quattro, its just my opinion) :sly:
(p.s. im not dissin you sister)

nah dude your right..GT-R's are the best cars in the world... wether it be for drag or track.. im talking REAL LIFE here not gran turismo. the rb26dett is the best straight 6 engine ever developed and the attesa 4wd system is also the best in its class.

Well I decided that I wouldnt even tune a car until I could drift stock cars. I drift all stock cars on N1 tires. I started out with the S13 Silvia Ks with N1 tires on it. I then moved to the Hachiroku with N1s. I run Trial Mountain for about 20 to 30 laps when I sit down to practice. This course to me is the closest thing to a mountain pass in GT4 and drifting was born on the mountain pass so it made perfect sense to me to practice on a mountain pass. I like drifting S13, S14 and the S15 Silvias, Hachirokus, FC3S and FD3S. I haven't really tried anything else to tell you truth but Im hoping I can get the old '70 Skyline 2000GT-R HT sometime soon. I hear MX-5s are good to drift as well as the S2000. I haven't tried and MR cars or 4WD cars yet, I don't think I'm ready for them. I haven't really unlocked anything or done many license tests, I just love to go sideways!

I found a drift tutorial DVD(Drift Bible) in sections on youtube and watched it. Its hosted by Tsuchiya Keiichi(Dori-kin). Its really a great source for knowledge. He drifts different cars using different techniques and really does a good job of explaining drifting so that it can be applied almost immediately. Here are the links for those that have not seen it and would like to understand the dynamics of drift better.

any 4wds and slow MRs are quite simliar simply because power-overs are easy to initiate on N1s and N2s. I'm using a Elise 111R and several Rallys.I drifted a '85 Pajero with low height in front and High in the rear today. It also had maximum Camber in the rear but zero in the front to make it look so Cartoonish.
