Ultimate digital edition for me.

Technically it's $50 as it works as two digital licenses, so I get two copies for $100.

So for $10 less than the standard version me and my brother both get copies and all the extra content.

Excuse me guys, I'm new to the Forza's world, but if i buy the standard version of the game, will I be able to purchase the VIP pass and other features of the deluxe/ultimate editions separately in the game?

Yes you will be, I am not sure if you get a discount or how large it is by buying it all together now though.

I will be getting the Ultimate Edition. I'm not to fond of Digital copies, but I've been warming up to it. Something about not having to switch out disks all the time is starting to catch with me . I usually dont spring for a car pass before I at least see what is in it, but my plan of just buying individual cars/packs has just ended up costing me more money. Probably wont end up preordering it until August, however.

I'm getting the Standard Edition because I'm a scrounger.

With FM5 I made the mistake of not buying the car pass, only to later buy one DLC pack, and then a second, then a third... I ended up spending at least enough on DLC to pay for the pass to get all of the DLC but not actually getting all of it because I didn't simply buy the pass. You may end up like me, thinking you don't care for the early packs and won't bother but then gradually finding more and more you really want. This time I'm not making the same mistake and just getting everything up front.

I did the same with FM5 but I'm diving in headlong to FM6. Ultimate Edition, all the bells and whistles :D

I think Turn 10 would increase their upfront sales if they could be straight one way or the other about whether Ultimate Edition will be available in physical disk form as it looks like a few people here are holding off buying it for this reason. I'm happy paying eighty quid for a collection of bits and bytes but not everyone's the same. I guess some of them have one eye on the possible resale value.

I have to check how much the extra stuff cost to buy with the standard version. Maybe it's not worth it, because I don't think I will be able to sell the standard version for a lot.

I'm just gonna get the Standard Edition with the Ten Year Anniversary Pack on Amazon. The other versions are not only too expensive for me, but those two versions are only available digitally.

If the Ultimate came in disc form I would have bought that. Oh well. I am starting to see more developers do this now. They release and ultimate edition, but only in digital form. :guilty:

I don't mind the digital version just prefer the disc for resell value. Plus usually the first day to download the game clogs the servers and takes forever. So at least with the disc, once it is installed, you are usually ready to play.

I guess that all depends on pre-loading too. Some of the digital versions allow pre-loading.

For sure?

I did try to order the Ultimate edition at GAME. Wasn't on their system yet they said. So I pre-ordered the std edition and they said they would txt me when they have a barcode for the Ultimate edition so I could upgrade my pre-order

Not sure now if they were blagging me or are unaware that there will be no boxed Ultimate edition?

With Ultimate digital you can not only preload the game but play it at least five days before anyone else. I guess it'll still clog but between five and eight days earlier.

I guess the lack of a physical Ultimate edition isn't hurting pre orders any if this headline is anything to go by:

Yeah I have been thinking about that too. Nice that it will come out several days earlier. That will help reduce the launch server overload. I wonder if we can still get the Gamestop Hellcat if we buy the digital version.

I have never "pre-downloaded" a game. How exactly does that work? You pre-load it several days in advance, then what? At midnight launch on that release day you are able to instantly play? Even though I like to have the disc, it is tempting because the digital version is less strain on the hard drive, and I can just sit on the couch longer.

As I posted in another thread, there will be more info on Deluxe/Ultimate hard copies at a later date & whether or not they'll be available.

Yeah me too. I did exactly the same as you with the DLC, I am getting the Ultimate with the car pass and then not worrying paying until the Porsche DLC.

I plan on getting the deluxe edition myself, though I might change my mind down the road. Of course, I want to wait until I get more info the deluxe edition before pre-ordering the game.

I got pCARS, the digital version and it pre-downloaded automatically. Game was ready to be played at 12:01 am. Well actually it's still unplayable but that's a whole other issue.

Is that the Xbox One's fault, or is that the game's :sly:?

The game I'd say (Xbox version in particular, pc seems fine) is buggy to say the least. I had a great time a couple of days ago and I thought it was fixed but played another race and I felt nauseous. There was this weird thing with the cam and the frame rate which was awful. I hope they fix it. I'm trying to like the game, conceptually it's awesome but on Xbox :banghead::(

I have hated PC ever since I downloaded an alpha off the internet and it was ridiculously buggy.
