The R10 is faster in the corners while the R8 is better in a straight line. I prefer the R10 in my opinion.

So far my laptimes were about 10 seconds faster with the R8 than with the R10. It is even faster than the Peugeot 908. Also the R8 is a little easier to control because the kick of the turbo is Not that harsh. But I have to saß that I'm Not the best driver.

The main thing about the R10:

The R10 seems to be slightly weaker than the R8 in straight line performance but it's a solid car in terms of handling and easiness. The R10 is also considered one of the best rain performers in the game.

Don't buy either--they are both prize cars from the A spec 24 hour races.

I'm holding out for one more update for race saves. If not, I'll do them both straight up, no pausing and helping my PS3 to an early death.

I'll have to give it a go in the rain:)

I'd have to go with the Audi R10 over the Audi R8, mainly because the cockpit view is SO much better then any of the views with the R8.

Which R8 are you asking about? There is the '05 R8 with the Playstation livery or there is the '01 R8 that comes in either red or yellow and silver main colored livery...In my opinion the '01 R8 is the best of the Audi LMP's it is really a great car!I have all three of them and drive them all quite often.:dopey:

The R8 '01 easily over the R10. Faster in a straight line(because of inflated power figures) but the handling is superb. Runs rings around most if not all other LMP's.

I don't know if English is your first language but you should proof read your posts if it is the case and correct the errors. 👍

Anyway, my vote goes to the R10 which I think is a great car. Maybe not the fastest of it's class but, correct me if I'm wrong, the R10 is a premium and the R8 not. Just having the cockpit view for me makes the choice easy. To spend 24H lapping a track I'd rather have a more immersed feel to keep me interested.

The Audi R10 '06 in real life is very fast, in fact faster than the Audi R8'01 around Circuit de La Sarthe (Le Mans). However because it has a huge amount of torque it has a learning curve similar to the Red Bull X2010. In a Endurance race the R10 should run four rings around the R8, (it's a diesel). Only thing is your B-Spec Bob's not that fast with the R10. By the R10, it's premium, looks better, and gives you greater satisfaction to control all that torque.

You are right, the R10 TDi has been faster in the Qualifying for their respective races in 2001 / 2006.

Audi R8 FSI 2001: 3.32,429 min (Qualifying) driven by Tom Kristensen
Audi R10 TDI 2006: 3.30,466 min (Qualifying) driven by Rinaldo Capello

Though, speaking for me, I can defenitely achieve faster laps with the R8. And it's topspeed is about 35 km/h faster than the R10.

It seems that there is something wrong with the R10 in this game. Additionally it should never be matched against the 908 HDi FAP because they weren't competitors on track in those 24h events. The true opponents for the Peugeot were the R15 TDI and now the R18 TDi which are faster than the R10. And I do not know why the R10 can't reach a higher top speed, but it should. I would understand this for the R18 and a 2011 Peugeot 908 due to regulation changes by the ACO, who reduced their max speed to 340 km/h.

Wrong, the 908 HDI FAP battled with the R10 over years. Even when the R15 was released, in 2009, a customer team raced a R10 against the 908 HDI FAP.

Btw: The R18 never was the true opponent for the 908 HDI FAP (it was raced this year only by team oreca, but those guys aren`t real competitors for the factory teams), its competitor is the Peugeot 908 (yes, different cars...).

The Playstation R8 2005 is a tad slower than the 01 R8, but I think the 2005 version sips a little less fuel and is a little easier on its tires. Plus it looks a lot better in the Playstation colors than just silver.👍

Buy the R10 just because its premium though, and then later on win the other two.

I have owned all 3 of the cars.

Audi R8 '01 Yellow
Audi R8 '05 Playstation
Audi R10 TDI.

The Audi R8 '01 is the fastest then Audi R8 '05 then Audi R10 TDI. The Audi R10 TDI in this game doesnt have the handling capabilities and straight line speed to match the other LMPs. Plus in a test on the forums it was the slowest of them LMP's (R10)

Then I should've used that car instead of the Judd Hybride, because it rained from 17:xx to 13:xx ingame.

Don't listen to him.

The Audi R10 has to much torque you will be getting wheelspin through gears 1-4.. =.=.

The Audi R10 has so much torque its a pain to drive in the dry with a good tune.

Actually, I found out that its traction gets improved alot with adding a stage 2 turbo. Its quite easy to drive with it, almost as easy as a 908 HDI FAP.

I drift the 787B, drive non ABS all the time when racing.
Even though I use a DS3 I'm deadly accurate on throttle control.
This car shouldn't be that much of a problem.
