Loads of drivers in their 40's on GT5. I myself will be 50 in November and routinely race against a gent who's 71, maybe 72 by now. He beat me to lvl 40 too, and has won more races than me, owns more cars, has a higher completion percentage for the game...geez. I gotta get to racin!

47 years OLD and feeling OLDER by the day.

Mind you I still feel a little younger while I'm playing GT. Perhaps I should play it more and maybe then my age would go down? :)

Nearly 40, I'm 39 & a half! :dopey:

Great responses guys & gals (Lissa good to hear from you.) keep em coming I know there are more of us out there.👍

I'll be there in about 13-14 months. My wife and I are child-free, I've never been very good at sharing toys and I'll be buggered if I'm going to share them with snotty nosed kids :trouble:

Well let's go back in time to the original video game. PONG on black and white TV. Technology has grown leaps and bounds. I have just turned 60 ,been racing GT 5 since it came out and totally immersed in online endurance rooms. My wife to does not understand the enjoyment of the game, it's a woman thing. I hope to be racing online till the day I die.

I was 42 yesterday, and got a 2J from my birthday ticket. An upgrade from last year's Mini Marcos?

Like many of you others here, I grew up with ZX81, Spectrum, Atari ST and was wowed by early arcade games: Defender, Galaxians etc, anyone remember Night Driver?

Played GT since the original but only owned since GT2 (I was late getting a Playstation). Don't get too much time to play these days, mainly DS3 now, but do get the occasional DF Pro session. We are the original 'gamer' generation, so it's perfectly natural to carry on IMO - just another form of entertainment (although obsession might be a better term for some people on this site:lol:)

39 and counting, here.
Bought a wheel & rig for GT5 so I could finally have that home-arcade dream my ten year old self fantasized about.
We've come a long way from Pole Position, ladies & gentlemen.
Cheers to you all!

Exact same sentiment, sans wheel...👎

No offence to your lovely wife but that is such a narrow minded view. 👍

 rather it's one of the limited number of authentic games intended for adults as well. :D

Ahem... 47 here and play gt5 witgh two others who are both older than I. Also play Tiger Woods Golf every week with a fourball, combined age over 200!!!

MBOBB1969 and I have been very pleasantly surprised at the number of over 40 drivers we have in our league. It is a pleasure to race with them because they race clean and are mature and respectful. 👍

...anyone remember Night Driver?

Oh yes. This was my first experience of a driving videogame... 1976. I was 8. The journey started right there, with that arcade machine. My pocketmoney disappeard regularly into that.

Defender! Wow haven't thought of that in years. I had a SERIOUS addiction to that one. Hate to think of all those quarters dumped into that machine, probably kept the local arcade afloat.

46 and aiming to be a finalist for next years Academy. Practice at least 5 hours a day, sometimes more. Spend many hours burning the midnight oil doing the seasonal time trials and such. Not afraid to say that I have no life, (on disability) GT5 is it. I don't race online, had my fill of that, perfectly happy hotlapping to perfection. Glad to see such a large 40 something crowd. Peace.

39 here, been playing since the first GT. I work about 10 hours a day and game about 3. I race with anyone as long as its clean.
