It seems the thing to do on this forum, in general, is to complain about complainers. I think every other reply on this thread has been either a complaint, or a complaint about a complaint. Very odd and irritating to people looking for information. It would be great if there was some kind of admissions test for this forum.

Like I said before, I can't do anything unless I want to lose the Escudo in the UCD. I can't do more than 1 event before the Escudo goes bye bye. I'm 600k short. I need this seasonal event to buy it. If I knew there was a dealership that made sense instead of this random UCD crap we have I wouldn't care so much about the delay

Just because your not upset about the delay doesent mean everybody else should feel the same way.

Anywho im guessing they will update on the 9th when seasonal event 6 end with 7,8 and possibly the GT driver's Club they mentioned or more info on it ... if they dont update tonight of course

Of course, when they're out, you won't be waiting, anymore. I usually lock pre-week threads when the week's events are posted.

There is no delay, they still have an hour. This is all I've been saying, but seems reading comprehension and deductive reasoning is not a strong suit of the GT5 section.

Yeh I agree. Lot's of conflict over a fairly innocent posting I would have thought? I merely made the thread as like so many I'm level 30 and the only "new" races I have to do are ALL endurance and as there is no save progress facility I refuse to do them as I'm NOT leaving my PS3 on for hours or days because a developer lacked the insight to incorporate a fairly obvious facility for those of us with a job, life or wanting to save power and wear and tear on our PS3's.

haha, I'm also level 30 and in the same boat.

I will run the enduros though but I run them straight through. I will take a 6-8 hour break for the 24s but other than that I get some snacks and some drinks and knock them out in 1 sitting. Hard to do mid week for sure. I was hoping to knock these seasonals out last night then go to bed so I could get up at 5am for work. No luck so I'll try again at 10pm tonight. I'll be doing the 1000km race on Saturday I think. Then maybe the 4 hr at the 'ring on Sunday before the Super Bowl(Go Packers!) if I level up in time.
 
Seriously? Did none of you see this coming when they snuck in that +- 1day thing last week, as soon as I saw it I thought "oh well Friday 4am for update next week then".

If you have access to two USB storage devices, backup your save on one USB key. Then save that for when the seasonal comes out and continue to play your account as normal.

When they do come out, back up your most current save, restore your old one, get the credits buy the car. Send it to some dummy account (i have one for occasions like this) and then send it back to your main account. Once you have the car on your main, buy something for the same amount of credits and then simply delete it from your garage. You have not gotten the car for free that way and you can continue to play until such time as they are updated.

It takes some effort but it might be worth it for you.

Friday, 4th February 2:06:59 GMT. By my reasoning of their notice this means +1 day is therefore 2 hours away. LOL))
 
I personally think we're waiting for the next game update. If there's a rally event and they're wanting to use the random course generator and P2P races, then they have to release a game update as neither of those are available online. And heck, maybe Pikes Peak will pop up in the update...maybe that's the 5th event this time. (the OUCD always lists cars for the fifth race each time)

How do you suppose its not delayed? My update says 7AM ON WEDNESDAY. It is 6PM ON THURSDAY NOW and that would mean its late already by 11 hours after the +1 day.

That is what I have been trying to say........ but apparently I am not intelligent enough to talk to him on this forum so I gave up.

You have a very negative writing style full of "put-downs". Could you please make it a tad more positive? You're basically making a Hasty Generalization, putting the entire Gran Turismo 5 Forum section into the "unintelligent" category, while seeming to imply you are smarter than the rest of us. Im not poking fun at you, or trying to be mean, but people in general in this thread are seeming to become very disgruntled with you. Just trying to help :dopey:

Some are under the assumption that the AM in the news section is a typo. But it is nothing more than an assumption.

My update says 04:00 hours GMT Thursday +/- 1 day.

It is a typo. What time did last week's update come out? Or the week before that? They started new seasonal events when one ended. That was the norm so why wouldn't I think it's a typo? In 3 and a half hours you can bash PD and call them lazy, til then, relax.
