The first "Official" release date told by PD was november 14th, 2004.

Was it? I seem to remember the Japanese Sony site saying it was December 2003, and then there was an 'official' release date for April 2004.

Or maybe I'm wrong.....

Oh come on, PD have a history of setting the release date back, surely you expected this?

Anyway, GRogall, your 10 hours is now up ... now screenshots. I don't think Le Mans is a reality - even that French site that everyone says is fairly credible (but I still disagree) doesn't even list it as being a track, so go figure ...

I think, every important manufacturer country like the US or Japan get their own real circuits. So the US have Sears Point and Laguna Seca, Japan has Fuji, Motegi, Tsukuba and so on.
So, i do really miss, at least one circuit track (besides city course in Paris) in France. So why not Le Mans ;)

Also i do miss a track in Belgium for Gillet (Spa?), and i still miss tracks in Sweden and of course, yes, in the UK!!!

think about ;)

Where else does Sweden have other than Mantorp Park (which Codemasters have snaffed the licence to)?

And where in England? Silverstone? Brands Hatch? London?

As i saw in some pictures PD was at LeMans to take data and pictures from the Courage's,so why shouldn't they take immediately pictures from it?

So,in my opinion it's 99% sure LeMans will be in GT4

Unfortunately as much as I would love this to be so Alonsomania, just because they were at the track to take info on some cars does not necessarily mean the track will be included also.

Afterall PD were 'apparently' at Bathurst also to gain data on some particular cars, and this doesn't mean Bathurst has anymore certainty of being in than other tracks...

That doesn't prove a single thing. If they're going to include a real-life circuit, they take photgraphs of every square inch of the track so they get it as accurate as possible. If they're just getting a few extra shots of a Courage, they're not going to be getting much of the circuit as they take the photos when the car is stationary. Don't be so sure that it's in because taking photos of every square inch of a 13km course is no mean feat and would probably take a fair few people to pull off and even if they started now they would be forced to puch the release date back a lot further. It's not like the Nordschliefe, where the scenery is all fairly similar because at Le Mans you have the stadium-like main straight, forests and even part of the town itself. And I've seen shots of Kaz sitting in the 2003 Perscarolo but that was nowhere near the track. And, as someone pointed out in the other thread you started: can you prove they were taking shots of the track?

Ah, that elusive 1%.... I admire your optimism, but I'd say your arithmetic is slightly skewed... The chances of Le Mans being in are decreasing with every day that passes, and thus far we have not seen a single shred of real evidence... no screenshots, no videos, no press releases from PD... personally, I don't think we will see it in GT4 (not the first incarnation of it at least) although I'd love to be proved wrong! Still, those who claim to be able to prove that Le Mans is in, have so far failed to deliver...

Not to take sides here, but i think i remember that about a year ago it was reported that PD did a very extensive photo shoot all around the Le Mans circuit. I think it was during one of the race pratice sets.

I still say that 'IF' (and note that's a pretty big 'if') Le Mans is in GT4 it'll be more secure and guarded than Area 51. PD will be making sure that Le Mans is kept well away from anyone not 'in-house'.

If it doesn't make it, I'll be a little disappointed, but heck look what we're getting in GT4!!! PD IMO still have surprises to spring on us, I'm just hoping this is one of them...

It just seems silly to me, if they are putting in all these Le Mans Group C cars etc, that they would not put in the Le Mans circuit itself!

As I said in the other (locked) thread, there's absolutely no sense in getting overly worked up over rumors and wild speculation. All you'll do is convince yourself that such-and-such a feature/track/car will be in the game, and you'll wind up being disappointed and angry at PD when it's not there. Which will only lessen your enjoyment of what is bound to be a simply stellar game.

I have no expectations one way or the other.. if LeMans isn't in the game (the most likely scenario), I won't miss it. If, by some chance, it IS in the game, I'll be pleasantly surprised. But I'm not banking on it one way or the other. Same goes for all the conjecture around what cars are going to be there. The only ones I pay attention to (cars and tracks alike) are the ones confirmed by either screenshot or press release directly from PD, not from "my best friend's cousin's roommate's sister's boyfriend" who "played the game and said it was there!" Quite simply, no one outside of press events and PD have played the game. And the games shown at press events are finely-tuned by PD to show exactly what PD wants to be shown. If anyone has "played the game" and babbling about things we're not supposed to know about... well, they're breaking the non-disclosure agreement they signed with PD and they can be taken to court. Or, they're full of it. Most likely the latter.

Well said, exactly what I was implying with my Area 51 comment, and PD has quite simply chosen NOT to have shown Le Mans to anyone to this date... hopefully???, optimistically???, very much feasibly!!!

OMG,look what i found.

I was kind of reading some stuff on some forum and i came across a GT4 thread and i found this image in it.After looking closely i found that it looked like a part of Le Mans.I mean those stripes on the road are just like those on the Le Mans track.
Could it be?omg i really hope it is Le Mans.
And that car looks like the Mazda 787B,it is the same color.

That's the LeMans track mod from an F1 2002/F1 Challenge '99-'02 that someone stuck a 787B on.

It is NOT from Gran Turismo 4.

Hmm,you sure?
Ah well, it's probably is true.I mean if it was a real foto of GT4 i'm sure it would be available on more places by now.
Damn.I was really hoping it was real.

Well it's really not that long now and we'll have an answer... IF it is in my bet is that we won't see anything of it before release... if it isn't, it makes something to wait for in GT5.

My heart says Le mans will be there, my head says PD boys didn't make it...

...maybe next time (let's hope that time will be the on-line addon, or an expansion pack, or GT4.5 :) or whatever although Le mans in GT5 will look brilliant!)

sinner from GT4 @ AGS Hong Kong thread
trackwise, I saw a track called Circuit De La Sarthe (not too familiar with this one) anyway... sorry for my lack of media... but I'll try to answer as much as I can...

Looks like alot of wishes have been granted, especially good with all the confirmed LM cars we know know of (and may have...)

Old thread I realise, but convo is better here???

yeah, as hellnback said, LE MANS IS IN UNDER THE NAME "CIRCUIT DE LA SARTHE", ACOORDING TO SINNER WHO WENT TO THE ASIAN GAMES SHOW!!!!!

Agreed, we should jump the LeMans discussion back to this thread now it looks like it's in.

Not from that picture, you can clearly see hills in the background which isn't a feature of Le Mans.

There was that other thread "Le Mans 'nearly' confirmed" also...

I realise that there was talk of possibly 3 configurations of 'Le Mans'...

As they've called it De La Sarthe, I think we can safely say it's the 14km circuit and not the Bugatti Circuit (which holds the Superbike races...)

Personally I hope that it's the pre-1990 config, with the uninterrupted 3 mile Mulsanne...
