How does this work? Do we need 3 Ps3´s? or just 3 Monitors. And how about the HDMI? How to split the signal???
How does it work with the PS2?

Yes you will need 3 PS3s, 3 monitors, 3 HDMI cables (one for each PS3 to TV connection) and of course 3 GT5 games.

I never did it, but I think you need Ethernet cables and a a router box ( If i got the name correctly, you hook each up and after that I don't know the exact detail.

I was thinking about a interesting idea, imagine GT5 will support Multi screen and the new feature which you can combine PS3's together for better resolution or frame rate, then you can have a few PS3's for each screen!! Imagine GT5 on triple screen with each screen running at 1080p and 120 or more frames per second!! Welcome to my dreamland!

3 Monitors Ok. Many of us have 2 but 3 ps3´s!!
So its unimportant if GT5 supports this feature. Anyhow for me.

And it will kill your wallet, plus the electric bill.

If you want 3 monitors, I would go with cheaper Computer LCD, I have a 26 inch LCD that is capable of 1080p , its around 300 bucks .. 900 for 3 screens, 900 for 3 ps3s.. plus Ethernet cables and all equipment necessary is 100 bucks lets say. And additional 3 games.
Total cost around 2080 and 145 dollar tax (if 7 percent) Bit pricey, but not that pricey compared to high end PCs.

Not to mention with 3 screen setup you want a high end wheel such as FANATEC or maybe some kind of LOGITECH GT version that may come out with GT5. So additional 300 - 400 bucks..

Oh wait, you need some setup like a sim chair or cockpit, another for 100-400 bucks.

For around 3 thousand dollars, you will have the ultimate sim experience!

That is a very expensive setup.

Yeah expensive, but I think if you look at PC sim racing, some guys go over 5 or even 6 thousand dollars with 3 monitor setups, best Graphics, nice racing rigs, and expensive steering wheels.

For my experience, with Powerful PC, Fanatec wheel, one screen setup, and racing chair, its bit below 3 thousand dollars.

For PS3 so far, One PS3 and one 1080p TV setup.. plus EYE TOY for GT5's feature is.. around 1200 dollars.. plus wheel and chair (same one used for PC) around 700 bucks. So way cheaper and considering GT5Prologue has best Graphics of any sim racer even on PC, not to mention PC like physics. ( except no damage, yet)

Where are the virtual reality goggles gone? For 300 bucks a real alternative setup? I think they just release eye cancer:sly:

And alot of money.

So the best alternative and cheapest way, is the 40 dollar EYE CAM for PS3. PD promises for this integration, So why not use it? Either way with 3 screen setup, you will still move your head around ; )

That will be a great addition too.. Eye cam plus 3 screen because u can actually look in different direction and not loose any screen area.

Usually games like that scalre your head movement, with 3 screens and eye cam, you could have 1 to 1 scale! More realistic.

Oh yes, I never thought about getting a Eye Cam untill I heard about head tracking being supported with it in GT5. Now it's a must have for me. How can you not wanna try that out for such a cheap price?

Another problem that a Multi screen setup might have is the monitor bezels which almost all LCD monitors have them and they are thick!! and could be annoying, apparently Samsung have come up with monitors specially made for ATI Eyefinity with ultra thin bezels. They will be 23 inch displays running at 1920x1080.

If you ask me I still think they are pretty thick! But till LED monitors are not in the market they cant make the bezels go away because of the LCD lighting.

You can buy those super wide screens, no more damn black lines around eges, I wonder if you can hook up PS3 with that? If it has 3 HDMI inputs.

Hope this doesn't seem a stupid question, BUT, will a PC Monitor work with a PS2? (I don't have a PS3 yet & have mothballed my driving seat.) IF my spare PC Monitor will work I'd have NO reason not to drag it out of storage. Thanks in advance.

My screen, Yes. it has D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, Component, SPDIF out

Google your screen, and see what connections it uses, As long it has a Component connection then yes. Older models only use the PC connector and that's it.

THANKS NoxNoctis Umbra! Seems my back-up monitor (CTX) & main monitor (3 year old DELL) are both too old. Guess I'll just have to lug a TV over to where my seat is if I want to play. Thanks again.

Unfortunately there's no way to use the Alienware or the NEC curved displays for console gaming, their resolutions are 2880 x 900 and they are a single input display so its basically made for PC gaming and not to mention they are projection displays so no mounting too.
