LOL. The 2cv has become something of a legend. A guy near me restored one. When it was parked in a local car park people were stopping to look and taking photographs. Thats usually what happens with super cars. Seems the 2CV has been so uncool for so long its cool now? It is pretty shocking to race in though. There were real life 2cv races sometime ago but i think they are so rare now they are more cherished. Maybe because of the race series. Im sure a lot got pretty banged up and hammered mechanicly.

"Pierre-Jules Boulanger's early 1930s design brief, (after a pioneering market research survey done by Jacques Duclos), was to be astonishingly radical for the time, was for a low-priced, rugged "umbrella on four wheels" that would enable two peasants to drive 100 kg (220 lb) of farm goods to market at 60 km/h (37 mph), in clogs and across muddy unpaved roads if necessary."

It's a very good car for what it was designed for :D

They should put these little funny cars on gt5 but then you get everyone saying polyphonys waisting time

Well, some people still didn't get that GT games are becoming what Kaz always wanted: a car encyclopedia... for some of these cars, being able to drive them its almost a bonus. They are historical, etc.

Well I don't think it is the worst car, but the Honda Z act for winning the Japanese classic car is a huge disappointment. I was getting ready for a Dome Zero, but nooo... I get a powerless shopping trolly. :grumpy:

Wanna trade with my two Daihatsu Midget IIs?
I got both of them in the Pick-Up races(A- and B-Spec).

THAT is a disappointment, my friend.

I like those "slow", underpowered, light cars. Unfortunately there's a lack of built-in short and windy tracks (and events), up to 1.5-2.0 Km max., for them to race. The only way to have suitable tracks for them is to create short kart tracks with the Course Maker, but such tracks are all very bland, lacking scenery eye-candy, elevation and character. Also they can't be used anywhere else than in single AI races.

Has anybody found a car thats worse than the 2cv.

I designed a short test track with the course maker, and made a comparison among my slowest cars.
For references, the NR-A Mazda Roadster '07 would lap this in about 1'20".
I achieved a lap in the 2CV in 2'04". Turns out: the 2CV was not the slowest on this test track, the award came to the Subaru 360 in 2'10".
According to this, the Subaru 360 is worse than the 2CV (while being not as old a model), one big reason for this is the absence of a 4th gear in the Subaru :P

I got the Midget too. It wasn't THAT much of a disappointment 'cos I don't like pick-ups anyway. :yuck:

The worst car is the Honda Beat.

It's slow, boring, ugly and cheap.

Ha!

What about the Honda Life Step Van, then?

Autumn-Mini is a well-suited track for these kinds of cars, I think. The short test track that I've designed was also based on the eifel karting track scenery (it's about 2.7 km) - if you'd feel like trying that one out, PM and I'll upload it.

Personnaly, I believe that low-powered cars are plenty of fun to race with. The only problem is that corresponding A-Spec races are so low-leveled that the opponents are way too easy to beat.
Low-powered car races with a better AI would be real fun, because with low-powered cars you can really push without the fear of being punished if you're beyond the limit. Making such races in the rain is also very interesting, because you still fight for grip even at low speeds. I did a one-make race of old beetles on a rainy Nurburgring, and that was fun.

Yes, Autumn Ring Mini, Tsukuba and London (to a minor extent. Also, Madrid short has got too long straights in my opinion) are those I drive on the most with small, low powered cars, including online races. Most other tracks however are too long or have excessively long straights.

no mention of the subaru 360? 14 hp, 3 gears, top speed of 50 mph, any faster and it cuts off the engine drastically and lowers you down to 43 mph before your able to accelerate agian

As a matter of fact I did find it worse than the 2CV (see previous post).

The 2cv rocks, my passenger can easily wear a silk hat while sat in the car, you can't say that about the supercars and isn't that what is really important?

It's a shame that the Subaru 360 SS Young hasn't been included.
With its twin-carb 2-stroke 2 cylinder 360cc 36 hp engine and a 75 mph top speed it couldn't have been considered fast, but it would have been a nice improvement over the stock version.
I believe it's possible to tune the normal version to the SS version power levels without using a turbo and a semirace/race exhaust, though, at least from what I remember from GT4.

The worst car has to be the original Fiat 500!!
back in the day (yes, I am THAT old) we used to call it the Elephant shoe, kinda fitting

None of them are as bad as that 1 hp horseless carriage thing I got for winning some very big race in GT4 :yuck: I think it could get up to about jogging speed before the limiter kicked in and knocked you down to walking speed. Frickin' scooter chair would have probably been good competition for it.

It was a Mercedes something or other if I remember correctly.
