Those who whine about CH drifters... you're in the wrong forum section (90%+ of the people in this section use CH)

Anyway, I never force the use of CH on people, I would only advise it. The funny thing is, some of us may act "superior" to people who use other tires, but the truth of the matter is, there's a good chance that we ARE better drifters than the latter, as we all use the same tire, enabling us to develop our skills together on a level playing ground with no moron kids on sports tires telling us we're going too slow.

Having everybody on the same tire seems only to be common sense, right? If you're tandeming (who goes into a room full of drifters without intentions to tandem?) it only makes sense to be on the same tires.

I won't go on so... just one last thing. CH tires are proven to be equivalent to worn street radials, CM being a new street radial, CS being a high-performance street tire. Anything with higher grip than that is usually used for racing, and would be too much grip for drifting. CS/SH equivalent are usually put on sports cars in real life, which are safely designed to prevent the car from over-steering easily (that doesn't sound ideal for drifting now does it?)

If you want clarification about what I've said on tire equivalency, ask TwinTurboCH (he's a drift judge in real life, he's done comparisons of tires that professional drifters use with those in the game).

Oops... I went on... :scared:

Those are good points, but Comfort tires are mostly for people who drift low HP Japanese cars. I, for one, prefer higher HP European cars and with those cars, Comfort tires don't offer enough control. I'd rather have fun than be "a good drifter." I'm not trying to impress anyone, so there's no need to be like "only 1 tire. End of story."

People who use Racing Soft tyres to drift and they claim that they are better drifters than you when they don't even have a sensible tyre choice.

EDIT: Well after others mentioned it, this thread may end up badly :nervous: .

I do drift whit both good and bad tyres in the game so no problem, but when people says that they are noob when they use better tyres. they are bullys.
but i know its more challenging when use comfort hard and more fun when it is.

im do also drift in real. and im not very rich so I have to use bad tyres.
and must tell all you guys the pro drifters are using often better tyres
than may Time attack drivers are do. because in 150 km/h you need traction.
even when drift.
and in the game Im actually trying to re do what im doing in real.

driving high speed in to the turn hiting the Ebrake way before the turn then letting of the clutch and full trottle and trying to get biggest angle and bigest speed. and then you need sometimes better tyres than Comfort hard, but when you just chill around whit friends its cool to use comfort hard,

but sometimes it fun to put a little better tyres. on the car and attack the turn in high speed and try to drift trough it whitout hitting the sand trapp.
because thats also very challenging.

my worst thing in drift is when you get Kicked because you entring a lobby while you try to change to a car that suit the room.

Happened yesterday... In a room on Tsukuba, with the host basically AFK.

Some kid comes out and just starts running into people with a Ram truck.

I tell him to leave, and I get kicked.

When that happens I message the driver saying that if he thinks he's a good drifter he should verse Sai_66. You know what? I never get a reply back from them

but yester day I was entring a room caled something pro drift. so i know it was comfort hard tyres that was the thing, and I had allready a car that i used in another room for AWD drifting so i had a audi whit sport hard.

so i was planning to change car when i was entered this room sounde like som pro guys but i never go out of open lobby and change car first i just enter and change as soon as possible, but this time i was Kicked at ones

didden get the time to chage, so i tok and sended a pm to the room owner wuy he did that,

Then he started to send you are a Noob u had Sports hard and this is for pro drifters,

hmmm yeah.
so i was little angry and sended back but sorry i was planningb to change and how can you say im a Noob before you ever seen a how I drift.

so i sended a last message that i sagyd i Challenge you to a drifting match so you and your friends can se that Im no Noob.
im maybye not a world class pro, but i kno im not pro i Think im not a noob.

I never told, but i always expected that this thread would round around tire debates... again.

Well, anyways. My story is short and happened yesterday.
I was in an awsome drifting lobby, with many of my favorite drifters in there (i bet you know who are they), but the counterpart is that i was disturbed with a huge headache, and i couldn´t focous in the game. So my lack of skills embarassed me trice, untill i apologise myself, leave the room, take some medicine for my headache and go to bed.

Sad story.

I use a 1000hp Viper (Occasionally) on Comfort Hards and I dont have a problem at all with controllability, I can control it just as well as I can my 400hp 200sx... Whether it be fun or serious, I only use Comfort Hard, no point running anything else...

That sounds like the worst drift experience ever lol just saying. 1000hp you just sliiiiiiiiide little grip is horrible. Incredibly enough drifting is all about grip.

Well then maybe you're a lot better at drifting than I am. I personally don't like comfort tires for drifting, so I don't see why some guys would be tire-nazis when you play online. It's about preference. Guess thats what I was trying to say.

I get what you're saying here, but if the whole point of drifting is to get the car to lose traction in the rear and put the car in the slide, why would you put excessive levels of traction just to make the job of losing traction more difficult? You need some traction so that you don't lose control of the car, but when you're using tyres that have the equivilent grip of a LMP Le Mans Car then that's the point where it just becomes ridiculous.

I asked the people in this certain room if they wanted to do tandem runs. I got no reply. So I headed out on track and decided to drift "solo".

The course was Suzuka East. A Z34 was able to get on my JZA80's tail. We did one lap with me in the lead. As we were switching positions on the back straight...

"You have been disconnected from the server."

Would I be bashed for drifting the Nissan R390 road car on CH's? It is street legal after all.

Also, road blocks on Tsukuba lol.
