Gotta love joining a track day room and finding everyone is in either a Red Bull or a race car :/. Shame thats most track day servers really.

God I need to get back into this game with some friends.

I want to humiliate immature players. Gotta get a troll car. Hmm... Fiat 500? :mischievous:

I've joined a 500-550 PP road car race lobby with a R390 GT1 ROAD car... And I got kicked...

He saw me and said that it wasn't a road car and it was forbiden. I told him that it is a road edition a Le Mans car, but they only produced it 2 of them.

And then...

"Road cars are those you can buy them in a dealership."

And I got kicked...

...

... I wonder if they have ever seen the Radical SR3... :indiff:
It's a "road" car in name only, with the downforce of a GT500 car in a game which doesn't include downforce in it's performance points calculation. I'd expect to be kicked too if I drove that car onto the track.

Race cars never get any love online. Just a bunch of street car 500-550 PP rooms.

I also find that when there ARE race car rooms, they tend to be with mangled regs that are nowhere near the original car's specs. I don't want to race 700bhp+ SuperGT cars... SuperGT cars are meant to have the horsepower figures they have in the game to start with, I want to race the proper cars.

A story from last night (as its kinda over right now...)

In a Nurburgring track day lapping my Abarth 500 "racing". A guy in a McLaren F1GTR (base car) looms up behind. I move off the driving line at the downhill section, and he spins out, hitting the wall, then me.

Not even a sorry, just a "WTF C_E21"
"Wait. You spun out and I get the blame?"
"It was your fault"
"How...?"
"You blocked me"
"I moved off the driving line to let you pass safely. You took too much curb, went on the grass and span out."
"No. It was your fault."
"Okay. Why don't you try full pace going down there, ill watch in spectator mode."
"Fine!"

He roared down... Then span. He drove literally over the grass while on half throttle then pinned it. When I explained that he said "Thanks Vettel..."

"You don't have to be a 4x world champion to see you're a bad driver."
"Race me."
"Okay. Stock Toyota GT86s."

We're both in them and set off. Guess what happens at the downhill section?

He didn't bother braking an hit the wall. I decided to play Vettel's 2013 celebration over the headset.

Why the heck not?

Was just about to take a spin around the ring in some stock NSX type R's with Dan Holland himself and BAM psn decides to make that.... Not a reality. Thanks psn or PD or whatever the hell fault it was.

 Nice!

Also, what was Vettel's celebration?

Just in case anyone's interested, I've got that Real GT500 Racing room set up. 1472-6399-8966-5887-9849

Room shut down, because like always, nobody joined.

I know just how you feel. I've started 8 rooms since I got GT6, and a grand total of 4 people have joined. Maybe it's my Interwebs connection...

Raced with a bunch of rednecks online last night. It was a NASCAR room at Daytona. I jumped out to a massive lead within the first two laps despite only running ~195-199 at most because of the shoddy default gearing. Everyone was calling me a hacker and threatening to kick me despite the fact that I've never modded the game in my life and I was at full throttle yet not even able to break 200 outside the draft. I had to do some real quick explaining on the keyboard to avoid being booted, telling them that I honestly had no clue how I'd jumped out to such a huge lead... which allowed them to catch right back up to me, causing me to finish 8th.

So I saved the replay, and guess what? Turns out they were purposely slowing down so that I'd look like a hacker and give the host a reason to kick me. Utter BS.

That is one of the largest displays of stupidity and 🤬 I've ever heard of online. But I'm sure all of you have experienced far worse

Nothing that stupid. Far from it.

(On a different record) had a discussion with a guy about how old Bugattis were much more worthy of a place in GT6 than a Veyron. It was an okay discussion until he said "It's useful for this" and rammed my Audi TT.

I got Zooey out and just messed with him for a half hour. Stuff like parking up before the chicane and waiting for him to get close, then ghost and when he's in the wall, drive off. Other stuff was sitting at the edge of the pit, see him coming at me, ghost. See his car go into pits, get far away fast.

I also did have (yesterday) an incident when driving my Cappucino around London. Because "Your cars yellow"

A lime green Veyron isn't any better though...

That's still pretty stupid though :yuck:

Has anyone ever gotten a "Clean = Kick" warning? I have. Didn't think it was possible, though I was in a dirty room I guess. I have fun until it gets too crowded. Then dirty racing becomes crash test dummies. "I could slow down just a bit and use the other cars as a buffer to get around the corner faster and maybe push them off, but I think I'll just forgo the brakes altogether and take some guys completely out including myself."

Vaguely related but I still maintain that dirty NASCAR is the best fun you can have with GT, friendos and alkeehole.

You've clearly never tried KTM Xbow Ice racing. 500 Bhp (forgoing nitrous) in zero grip... Fun as heck.

Also, a quickie.

Join London cop room (mistake #1) and drive for a bit. Soon the host votes for a track change, and it goes to Mt. Panorama. Not my first choice but I was ready to go for it... Host then changes a room with 16 people in to GT arena.

It's as bad as it sounds...

If I could be bothered with what looks like a 5 hour download, I would have some stories, but i dont, I just cant wait for the chance to get my drift/Gymkhana R34 N1 Nur out at the GT track online

Entered a room hosted by a fellow Canuck tonight which usually means a well run room and some polite banter. Ran the first race and finished second in an my RS200. Someone said something about need some help with an FF so I gave out some generic advice about ride height, camber, toe etc. that I know works. Host immediately said, "that's wrong, that's completely wrong", so I just shut my trap and ran the next race in an FF and finished second to an Elise at Autumn Ring.

Next was a one make spec race and I won by three or four seconds.

Next race was at Trial Mountain, and I could tell from the back and forth it was the hosts "home" track. He pulled out a Garaiya (sp?) at 450PP and you could tell he was expecting to win by the banter going on. I started fourth and he started 6th. Took a lap or two to get by the guys in front and I pulled out a couple of seconds and then the host got free and clear into second and announced, "I'm coming for you Johnny, don't crap your pants".

Next lap I gained another second and he was silent. He pushed harder, must have made a mistake and by the flag I was about 5 seconds clear. As soon as the race is over the host says, "Johnny is using nitrous, no way an S2000 is that fast, no way".

I said, "nope, no nitrous" and was about to say, "Just turn it off in the settings menu and I'll re-enter the track when it's on and you'll see I don't have it"...but before I could get it out I was booted.

Can't wait to see that host online again:lol: I blame @Motor City Hami because I was using his S2000 Type V tune!!

@Johnnypenso I had a very similar experience a couple weeks ago in a 475pp SH Nurburgring 24th lobby. I knew some of the guys were fast and it was set to Grid based ect. ect. Fast guys up front essentially. So I hopped in my NSX. After the draft and mayhem I was in second after the first set of corners just behind the fastest guy in the room who was also in an NSX. I made quick work of him within two corners and just pulled away from there. I think he noticed the split times getting larger and really pushed it leading him to make mistakes. Anyway I finished close to 10 second ahead. The race ended I got accused of cheating and got the boot. I came across the same lobby last night (good lobbies are hard to come by) so I purposely went off track a few times to avoid the same result. Ended up winning by less than a second. Next race I drove the RX7 to a 15 second victory. Half of them left :/ poor sportsmanship can really ruin a good night of racing.
