Would you like NASCAR on Gran Turismo again?

I never played a Gran Turismo game with NASCAR in it, and I thought it would be cool to it be back in Sport.

GT5 and 6 were NASCAR games to me and so many online, it was a really nice community who would race into the night at Daytona pretty much every night. I would love it back.

Well you'd need a few tracks to be added too for it to be worthwhile

It would be alright but not a priority for me personally, as I don't feel GTSport is made for oval racing, especially considering 'getting bumpdrafted gives you SR down'

Well Nascar is useless without a smattering of ovals, superspeedways, maybe a short one miler and a few US road courses like Watkins Glen where these are usually run.

I think both Nascar and PD know where Nascar is heading and its not a Japanese game.

GT5 was big into Nascar as PD thought it would be nice to break bigger into the American market.

However we know how Nascar is going 10 yrs later and PD know and they also know GT Sport is popular in the US without Nascar.

Just give us a few generic Nascars and that will do.

I was never into racing Nascar on GT6 but almost every other lobby room was setup for Nascar so it was hugely popular within the GT community.
Daytona & Indy are a must have tracks for Nascar in GTS and at the same time both tracks have road courses for everyone else.

It would be a win win for everyone and I definitely would like to see its return. Unfortunately Kaz focus is only on esports and it's leaving everyone who is not interested in that type of game play **** out of luck.

I’d give it a shot. More is better. That said I don’t know how many ovals would actually be better. The addition of Daytona and Indianapolis would be good enough for me. And Sport is already checker or wreckers so why not boogity boogity boogity let's go racing boys?

I honestly wouldn't mind if they did what they did with Group 3 and get the license for some of the actual NASCARs, and also throw in a few fantasy ones using cars from the game. Maybe call it Group O (Gr.O) for Oval?

Here are the cars that I feel would make it into the Group:

Dodge Charger Gr.O Stock Car
Ford Mustang Gr.O Stock Car
Honda Civic FK2 Gr.O Stock Car
Hyundai Genesis Gr.O Stock Car
Lexus RCF Gr.O Stock Car
Mazda Atenza Gr.O Stock Car
Toyota GR Supra Gr.O Stock Car

All cars would be fitted with a 5.9L carbureted V8, making about 850HP. And yes, since every Group class has an oddball car in it, I decided to add the FK2 Civic.

I enjoyed taking a NASCAR around proper circuits not ovals. In fact I had many a night race at Circuit de la Sarthe and Nurburgring Nordschleife in them. Quite terrifying it was too.

I would be happy to see one in GTS although I would prefer a proper super truck.

It would need it's own SR and penalty algorithm for ovals. But yes it would be a great addition to the game.

I had so much fun turning the downforce right down to a minimum and doing laps of Spa (I know I shouldn’t mention that word, sorry) in GT5. With that said, I think I could enjoy some racing at Northern Isle and Blue Moon Bay which are surprisingly fun to a guy who has little interest in oval racing.

However, I'd like it in the game, along with INDY cars and Indianapolis Raceway.

*I live 35 miles from Mount Pocono and am surrounded by NASCAR fans. Very obnoxious fans.

They can just do the Group 3 approach and appropriate the models they've already scanned to resemble stock cars.

Are many people NASCAR watchers at the moment?I am indifferent about watching NASCAR because there are too many gimmicks and it is mind-numbingly overcommercialised.

However like you I would also want stock cars in the game. My interpretation of people wanting NASCAR in the game is that really people want stock car racing to be represented in the game. Whether it's NASCAR or not is largely immaterial to many people, I would think.

GT also needs at least two more ovals.
