The only thing that I have heard is that six spectators were injured and taken to hospital, but nothing more.

6 spectators were taken to hospital and only one has been discharged, the other 5 have been kept in for observation or after surgery for broken bones, including a 25 year old man who is intensive care.

Youtube user "santiagoderiu" has a video of the crash which shows how stupid the position of the spectators is, I guess it will raise questions of why the zero car allowed the stage to start (unless they moved back to the position after marshals had moved them).

I won't post the link to the video since the injuries sound bad but it's easy to find if you want to see what happened. It's yet another case of fans standing on the outside of the corner and the inevitable happening, same story every year in rallying...
 
Fun fact: between the previous British winner of a WRC round, McRae in Kenya 2002, and Meeke's victory today, Sebastien Loeb claimed all 78 of his WRC wins.

I hope It´s true, apparently both Germany and France will be removed from the WRC and be replaced with Jordan and Japan. I think It´s no great loss, France already have the Monte Carlo rally and Germany was just another bland asphalt rally. Finally the "W" in WRC will live up to It´s name, and it will be more interesting to watch two rallies taking place anywhere else than in Europe and wich are totally different from each other.

Damn, I thought they were bringing back Tour de Corse, in the place of Alsace, this is bit disappointing. Especially, as I can't think of anything Jordan would bring to the Championship.
 
It's pure speculation. I haven't heard a single credible rumour that suggests Japan or Jordan - much less both - will return. The WRC Promoter only released a summary of signed events two days ago, and neither was on it.
 
Japan I think is a great market for WRC, Suprised China hasn't been considered considering VW massive market presence.
 
China had a rally years ago. It wasn't very well organised - they forgot to tell the locals that the cars were coming through ...
 
A real pity Paddon didn´t win, incredible how he was able to lead for so long, I have a sense he is a driver who can actually challenge Ogier and I think next year with a new car it´s gonna get different. I have really no hope for Latvala he have so much more experience in WRC but still haven´t become champion and seem to screw up alot, Germany 2014 gotta be his worst blunder 1 min in the lead and when he rolls off.

Speculation at Le Mans suggested that Toyota could pull the pin on the TS0X0 projects in favour of the Yaris WRC.

They committed to run both projects alongside for 2017 at least if I remember correctly.

As for Hayden Paddon, I don't think there was ever a chance he would actually win the rally. The 2015 road order regulations put Ogier behind by quite far but that improves on days 2 and 3 when he has Rally2 and then the slower cars to clean the road on the final leg. Even before the mechanical problems his lead was probably only going to be enough for 2nd. These running order regs are great for the championship though, it puts some other faces up at the sharp end and makes rallies less predictable.
 
I'm gutted for Padden, I know he made the mistake but I still feel for him..

It's still in the conceptual phase at the moment, but bids from Abu Dhabi and China to join are weakening. It's likely that the calendar will remain fixed at thirteen rounds, but Argentina is under investigation for its safety standards, whilst Sardinia's organisers have committed to continuing with the endurance route they introduced this year, even though it was unpopular with teams and drivers (but they have been struggling for a while and so it wouldn't surprise me if they were looking for a way out).
 
I think WRC is a given.

With DS Racing in Formula E that will likely be where most of their focus will go.
 
It makes more sense to stay in the WRC. They might be dominating the WTCC, but they're up against Honda, Chevrolet and Lada. But in the WRC, they're competing with Volkswagen, Hyundai and Ford, and Toyota are returning soon. The WRC has a more diverse field, and even if they can't take the fight to Volkwagen, they're still on equal footing with some heavy hitters in the automotive world.
