So you did all the Endurance races in one day?

Yep. My current record is around 26 and a half hours (total time it took counting all breaks i had taken) in the last time I did it. Last time I did the 24 hour endurance race at the Nurburgring I did it with a stock 787B. The other 24 hour I did it with the 908 HDi.

I plan the next time I do it to do it with the Bentley speed 8 race car. Love that car. This time will be on the G27 instead of the DFGT.

Wish I had time to do the endurances but work is relentless.

They are quiet fun. Of course the AIs suck. I had used stock cars never touched a setting except for ABS off and brake bias. I just enjoyed the fun of doing it.

Once I get some free time (try that with kids lol)

I must be missing something here. How did you do all the endurances in one day? Two of them take 24 hours each.

Hybrid car that reaches over 999mph that breaks the sound barrier and goes as fast as lighting, and morphs through time to finish 24HRS in 24 seconds.

Not all of them in one day haha. I said I did each 24h race in one day.

Ummm no. The AIs suck anyway. Using a hybrid would be overkill.

I said each endurance race I have done in one day. Sorry if I worded it wrong to confuse you guys. Hahahaha but no bone stock 787B for my last race at the 24 hours of the Nurburgring. No hybrid.

Right, thanks for clarifying that pal. Confuzled me!

No, I had a talk to one of my friends about the 24 hour races and we think it's a waste of time.

Yeah kind of is I admit. To me it was fun. But i will tell you if I had to do it on the DS3 I wouldn't have done them one time.

I found the 24 hours of Le Mans to feel like largely a waste of time, but that was mainly because it rained half the race, making the outcome a foregone conclusion.

The 24 hours of the Nurbürgring, on the other hand, driving (at times under the influence) a 787B with max ballast on sports softs with no HUD to win by less than 10 seconds... that was the best fun I've had offline in Gran Turismo, period. A moment of my life I'll probably never forget to boot.

It's very much down to personal taste though. Some people just don't understand the fun of enduro racing in general. Some don't want to be bothered trying to make them competitive, and some can't stand the thought of risking a loss in a race that long. Some don't want to undertake such a thing in a game with so few cars and/or the various flaws GT5 has. Some have other valid reasons why such things aren't fun to them.

If I had someone else to do the races with I'd be even more eager to do them and maybe even redo the long ones, but sadly the only local friend I have left who played GT5 enough is of a fairly different background which would make it complicated and had mostly stopped playing well before the time I got to the final races.

...when you're driving down the highway in real life and want to check your mirror, so instead of looking up you tap your left index finger as if to press L1.

I have done this, except I do it with my thumb. I'm not sure what button it is technically, R2 or R3 I think, on my wheel.

...when deleting paints right after starting the game isn't something even the slightest bit unusual to you.

That's quite impressive. I've been playing GT5 for 3 years and even I can't do that, but I navigate through menus quite quickly.

It's not really THAT impressive as some other posts in this thread. (Writing a book about it... I mean come on.

I can navigate through the menus quickly

WOAH WOAH WOAH! There is no such thing as navigating through GT5's menu's quickly... jk

...you purposefully delete the Veyron ticket you get from A-Spec GT World Championship during your 2nd playthrough. Why would I ever need this overpowered behemoth?
