You know you're bad at GT5 when...

So even though all the hardest A-spec events (FGT Cup, ...) and in the gross majority of online lobbies (well over 90%) everyone uses Racing compounds, if we use them, its because we 'need' them and we suck at GT5

Lets be honest here. You tinker around with comfort hards so you can be a tire compound elitist and make fun of anyone who doesnt share your interest in rubber bands for tires

Its a racing game, we all strive to make our cars as fast as possible and everyone uses racing slicks because its the quickest way around a track.. hop off the podium big man
:) boy, looks like a nerve was tweaked there - like I said in the bit you quoted, relax it's all a bit of fun.

Naturally, racing softs get used for FGT and upper level racing events...just not for the Sunday Cup level up until Dream Car - that's the difference I was suggesting. I don't actually try and strive for wins with lesser grip either, so I'm definitely not one of those elitists you suggest I am. I did like your pun at the end though...

I'm with MeanElf...

I use RS for 90% of things, and can definitely admit that i'm a novice at the game for doing so. These tyres are almost cartoonish, the way they allow any car to rocket around a track as if on Scalextric tracks. Diving in and out without a hint of smoke or understeer.
Anyone who can't ditch them and use anything below RM is definitely not, IMO, a good driver.
Cheers Guardian :)

You keep choosing a Triumph Spitfire whenever possible, even though you know you have no chance of getting above 8th place.

You lose to an Evo 6 Rally Car online while driving an Escudo. Never go afk in an online race lobby. :grumpy:

I can see this taking off into a massive flame war revolving around using ABS, TC etc.

When you think you are good because you are #1 in the world in the seasonal drift trails while driving a TVR Speed 12 or Buick Special

Just had to be the person to post that.

... when B-Spec Bob is faster than you.

SVX
...When you get over lapped in a one lap race, and you have the faster car/have a same performance car.

That's not possible actually. In a TWO lap race, yes. But for you to be lapped the person in front would have to have a one lap lead on you. You can't have that when the race itself is only ONE lap.

Two words to why it is possible.

Haha, yeah, I know, which is what I was getting at. You must be pure crap to be able to do so badly it's not possible, though...

...this is what I was referring to the second lap bit.

When you manage to filp an X-car

I've done that before, several times (when I used a DS3), including at the second part of Suzuka's opening double right while attempting to complete the Vettel Challenge. I feel I should point out though that the BBC have actually shown footage of Seb himself flipping an F1 car in a simulator... take from that what you will.

...when you nearly get lapped in a 5 lap race in a Epson NSX against other GT500 cars. It happened to me.

...when you do a victory spinout at the finish line, unaware that it wasn't the final lap.

when your PSN is big_noobowski924.

Yes, I suck at the game lol.

edit: When you have to edit your post because you misspelled your PSN.
