1.One I've played since GT1
2.Best one for a moment and I have discoverd it to be worth playing
3.There is nothing to play at the moment so I've chosen GT5
4.None of this

1. I play GT5 because it is the most complete and feature-rich online racing platform currently available on consoles.

I play because it is a fantastic game all round and now that spec 2.0 has brought out endurance saves I can finally get round to doing those 24 hour ones.

1: because I grew up with those games! The fond memories! Especially of GT2, taking the Escudo (which was a monster back then) around Red Rock Valley:dopey:

No accurate poll choice for me; my reason: Because I get to 'almost drive' race cars :) (for F1 I get that other game:sly:) all using a G25 and playseat which makes it that closer :)

Also because it has that "GT feeling" that makes this game unique :D
But now seriously, I think it's because of the amount of Skylines...we just love them :sly:

Because its still the real driving simulator :)

This. As a game it may not be as good as Forza 4 or even 3 for that matter, but just for the driving you can do GT5 can't be beat. It still gives me the greatest pleasure choosing a car I want to drive and just driving on an empty track lap after lap after lap after lap after lap.

Because it is the real driving simulator, i have a lot of fun with it, and i love it since the GT4, super realistic, a lot of cars, and this spec 2.0 just put the game on its max.👍

Because it's the best driving game on PS3 and there's no real competition for it so it's a no-brainer

Pretty much.

I've kinda put it like this. I have a 360 and Forza 3, it's alright, but I feel myself attached to GT5 and lose interest in Forza quickly.

Forza is like a club, lots of cool lights and attractions. Nothing wrong with that, very modern and presented very well.
Gran Turismo is like a Library, all the intricate things you know you love. Very old styled, no presentation, rather clunky and all most of everything can only be achieved by wading through an annoyingly clunky system of organization.

Personally, I'd love better presentation and all that, but I'd rather have all the meaty content instead.

A shiny coat of paint never made a car go any faster.

I play GT5 because I think it's fun. Sure, I've bought every GT game on release day, but I don't still play the series because I feel I have to because I played the other ones, I play it because no other driving or racing game can make me have as much fun as Gran Turismo can. The day I stop having fun playing the game is the day I stop playing it. Being a huge fan of GT doesn't stop me from enjoying other great games either, Forza being one of them.

Fell inlove with the GT series with GT4 and became obsessed with scavenging for cars in that game. So many meories. Too bad GT5 doesn't live up to its older bro.

I've been playing since GT1, it is the only game that makes me feel like I'm 6 playing my toy cars. GT is just a giant box of cars then I can play with and make my own fun. There is no end to the fun to be had. I love GT, it isn't perfect, but then again nor am I, but my wife still loves me. Keep driving GT fans!

I've played the series since the beginning. I too have grown up with this game, and it's practically my life so far. :boggled:

Because I can fulfill my driving fantasies through the game. I will never have money to be able to have any cars or drive on the exotic tracks like I can in GT5.

because it's the best simulator i've played, i enjoyed gt3 and gt4 very much, and with gt5 it's something special, the driving is the best, and has the best community and support from developers

I wouldn't know about Forza to be honest, I don't own a 360 and have never played a Forza game in my life. Whether Forza is better, worse or about the same as GT is a question that really doesn't concern me at all, what does concern me though is that Gran Turismo has no competition on the PS3 which isn't good for the series at all. There's games in the same genre that do certain things better than GT5 or have things GT5 doesn't, for example, F1 2011 (24 cars on track at once, miles better AI, miles better weather effects) Shift 2 Unleashed (Track list, helmet cam, better night racing effects) Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Free roam, eh.... yeah, free roam) but none of these games have everything, F1 2011 is amazing but it's limited to F1 which means it will never be a GT competitor. GT5 does almost everything, a lot of things good, some things ok and a lot of things half-arsed. A bit of real competition would give PD and Sony the boot in the arse that they desperately need.

None of the options given.

I play it because it's the best console racing sim when comes down to physics and lap times.

Put all these together, and that's me.

I think Gran Turismo has a spirit, an essence to it, that all other games lack. I feel different playing Gran Turismo than another racer, no matter how good it is. No other game can put me in a sports car on a track as realistically as GT does. And let me collect cars by the thousands!

Weird warts and all, love it, love it, love it.

It's a hobby.

Some guys gamble, some go to knock-in shops, some paint little figurines. I play GT.
Started at GT1, progressed / matured until I stopped buying games all together and now it's a large part of my week, almost as much as work.

It's not a game for me. It's a hobby.

I voted for 1 but I starts at gt2. It's easily the best racing series. Forza doesn't even compare all it has is lots of customization. One day gt will have that too (I hope) and there will be no argument as to which is the greatest.

Voted one but that is no longer the reason I play. I found a really good racing club through GT Planet, and have made some really good online friends. Amazing racing, clean, fun, tight and friendly. The people I have met are now the reason I play this game, even if it is just a bit of banter and a fun race, tips and advice, or just a bit of glory when I beat someone I know is faster than me.... That is what keeps me playing every day if possible almost a year after release.
