PS - if you are into old rally cars - 1982 will only get you a Audi Quattro, 1977 only a Lancia Stratos Rally, 1985 has several vintage rally cars.

I've yet to discover a way of removing said parental control, in the network settings it is set to off so I don't see why it won't let my Hong Kong sub to log in.

I've tried everything and couldn't get a HK account to work. I've just started making sub-accounts off of my main account which does have a cc. I didn't want to use it if possible, but oh well.

1. if you are on a rinse repeat cycle it takes probably 5 minutes each attempt
2. 2 options, create a sub account for a minor which has to be linked to your master account. or you can just get cars from the older years and strade to people who already have sub accounts / newer cars

So it would take 5 minutes to just create the sub-account, start up GT5 and get the free car ticket? At that point I would delete the account and do it over? Can I use a sub-account for cars from before 1992 as well?

no takes 5 minutes each time after the account is already created, IE. gift car, exit game, delete save file, launch game, go through menus, use gift ticket

you only need to make the account once. however after midnight that account will no longer receive birthday cars and you will then have to create a new one

Oh, I get it, deleting the saved file to that name allows you to get more than one car. Don't I have to friend my main account and send and accept the ticket before deleting the fake account?

you dont have to keep recreating the account, once you set up the account, you friend request your main account then accept it, then all you have to delete is the game save file each time

1. Can I change the birthyear in the sub-account in order to use it for 2010 then 2009 or do I need a new sub-account.

1. no, can't modify a birth date once it's been set. requires a new account for each year
2. yup once the upload says operation complete they are then in the possession of the gifted account

People you can delete the Save Data Utility on the fake account and get an unlimited number of birthday cars in one day just create account get the car gift it quit out delete sava data utility and start game again 1944 is best year.

this is so irritating!

when on my new account i try to send the car i've gotten through this method as a gift (Chaparral 2D... sweet ), the screen 'friends list' just freezes and does nothing

i've left it 'loading' for longer than 10 minutes - still nothing

i've added my main account ready to send the car as a gift, both users are on each others' friend lists but for some reason i cannot send the car! arghhhh

Some cars you can sell, even if they are gifted, others you can't. seems to be a dollar limit. You can sell a Lancia Stratos for approx $110k but you can't sell the Lancia Stratos rally car. You can sell the VW Kubelwagon for $73k but you can't sell the VW Schwimmwagen.

Most I have seen is $120k selling price - but that was on a 1985 rally raid truck and you run the risk of getting any of the 8-9 other 1985 model cars. The 1944 Kubel is a guaranteed $73k each time. Basically you need to find a year where only one car is in the game and see if you can sell it. $73k every 3-4 minutes on a repeat cycle is pretty good to build up the bank.

Not worrying about money makes this game much more enjoyable.
