Your First Drift Ever

sanjiko he means like you used alot of aids.
i mean 20 to ASM understeer.

aston martin vanquish on the big last corner at tsukuba, done little ones but that was the first biggy, then did it for a hour with the sound up really loud

Im a little bit slow on the drifting side of things. What do you guys class as a drift. powersliding around the whole corner or salmming the handbrake on and trying to over-ride it by accelerating???

GT-Racer

My first drift was the loooooooooong hairpin on Tokyo R246 (the 4th corner) on super hard racing tyres  I managed to get a Monaro CX8 all the way round it sideways using my crapola £20 steering wheel, and spent the rest of the lap pulling victory 360's. :dopey:

Would you guys say that this qas a drist. It lasted about half way through the corner. if so my first drift was on the last corner of test course 3 with my lotus elise...

I have just started drifting, and my first drivt was at the Grand Valley East Section with my Amuse S2000 R1 With settings by HammerShot.

I just had my REAL first drift last night. I have been using the DFP all this time, trying to drift, and just couldn't seem to quite get it (and I have been at it for months). But then last night, I used the DS2 because my girl was trying to sleep. And let me tell you, I am one of those people who CAN drift with the DS2, but NOT with the DFP. I was using the Shuichi Shigeno and the HKS Silvia. And I was holding corners like crazy. I was like WTF? I'm drifting. Of course I'm still not a pro at it yet, but almost instantaneously, I was drifting when I switched.

On the contrary, I would so much rather be drifting with my DFP, so I'm going to keep at it.

My first drift would have to be Midfield in a AE86 in GT3 in early 2003. Not sure what corner though. So long ago!. (Fresh from watchin ID  )

uumm on GT4? it was on the Deep Forest with the 180sx, the turns going through the forest where it's all whindy and stuff. I started dancing around the house all crazy. unless you were talking about GT3, but if you were talking about GT3 it should be in the GT3 drifting forums... but yeah.

My first drift ever? Wow I would have to go back to Gt2. I took a Lancer Evolution and put hard tires on the back and soft on the front. Need less to say it didn't look very good. I didn't continue to do it but for 20 minutes then never did it again until Gt4.

Real life: A go-kart! (but it slows you down ALOT)

Gran Turismo 2
I think it was an r32 mikes skyline?
It was either Tahiti Circut( I think it's the one with the right-hand church-on-the-side corner.
I started doing it because I wanted to drive the course like a rally ;)
Mad Cats 2 Steering wheel.
Those were good old days where the US didn't even know what a drift was...

Gabkicks
for those who are a little slow.. lllb0y means "Mines" at least i assume he does.
lol, it's been a long time, I remember the logo though ...and I remember where I won it (Like the Wind) sometimes you win this HKS drag car, but if you iddn't it would be that skyline.

My 1st Elise drifts on Trial Mountain...:P

How do you get those long smoke trails? Whenever I try to get good shots, I can only see 1 or maybe 2 car lengths of smoke even though I've held the drift for a week :(

Back on topic: Been driving rally "sims" for a while, plenty of drifting there ;) First GT drift was after I discovered this forum, uhm around the time of that 80's DPC @ Clubman. First one was probably on SS5 or GV, but I started practicing with the 180's on Tsukuba  .

Around the days of GT2 if you want to be exact...

but since everyone is saying from GT4....damn when I opened the package I just bought me a RX-7 and went on Trial Mountain and drifted there to see what was the difference in the phyisics from GT3 onto 4. IT WAS HELLOVA FUN NIGHT!
