Just at legends race there, on the Charlotte Legends course. Until the end I thought that would be great for SR farming..

Until lap 24 I was in third, tried letting second over lap me by slowing down on the straight, drives into the back of me, 1 lap later he spins out in front of me and wrecks me.. lost .11 SR and gained .35 iRating... :grumpy:

iRacing is like a game of snakes and ladders for me lately. Been doing okay in the Mustang this season , having mostly low incident races and finishing mid pack. Good enough for me. Until yesterday afternoon...... I got caught up in someone elses mess at turn 1 , lap 1 at Lime Rock. Ended up a lap down after having to pit for repairs , lost SR and irating etc. :ouch:

By contrast , I had a perfect street stock race last night (I know , that's quite an achievement !!) Qualified on pole and stayed out front for the whole 20 laps with zero incidents. Looks like I will finally graduate from that rookie oval licence. Finally ! All I've gotta do now is avoid any official oval races for the rest of the season. :D

My last races in the Iracingnews challenge MC were the best i had so far in Iracing.
I had two 3th places on those races at okayama full course whit 0 incident points. I love the track and if you can race them whit clean drivers having the same speed as you, it can be fun. The last race it was a 3-car-battle throughout the whole race. in the first part we only chased each other but on the last part of the race which overtaking head-to-head. It was a very nice battle.

In the grand AM sport car serie it does not go well.
Almost a full grid, ready to do a nice race to gain good Irating.
I start a bit down the field becaus i hadn't a good qually time. When doing the formation lap there is a guy behind me who looks a bit agressive in my mirror. I thought okay that guy hit me before i completed this formation lap ad yes it happent. When driving on the main straight the SC drives dives into the pitlane. The pack before me slows down and hit the brakes, so did i. offcourse the guy behind was "already racing" and hit me from behind before start finish. Believe it or not this guy had 3000 irating.

Second race i wanted to bounce back from the bad race i had. But i regret it, It was late (at the end of the week) and i got too tired, i couldn't pick up the pace untill i hit a wall. That wall happens to be a bit stronger compared to a Riley Mkxx..., apparently.

2nd race in my new favourite car the star mazda, i got pole but I finished 4th.

Really happy about this, only 1 incident in a 20 lap Suzuka!

My ambition of clean races is going well, one of the safest drivers in the SM league right now.

FINALLY I podiumed a race (Lime Rock Nvidia Cup), and had a perfect race at the same time (no incidents). I wasn't the fastest one but I just drove smooth and consistent and waited for the herd to thin a bit.

I followed up hoping for a doubleheader but it was not to be. Some moron caused an incident on the first corner, that ended with me tapping someones back bumper from not being able to stop in time. Later on, said moron slid off ahead of me and i passed him. When he caught me at no name straight he bumped me from behind to get me out of the way, then cut me off going into the uphill causing me to spin. I saved the replay to protest it but i was so angry in the heat of the moment I advised him of what kind of person i think he is (a-hole) and that if i see him again I'm going to put him in a wall. Since thats a pretty bad violation I may just let this one go and not protest anything, or at least wait a day or 2 to see if anyone protested me. I'm assuming the replay files don't save a chat log, I hope.

4 laps to go @ Chicagoland with the B Class Fixed, I am racing for 8th place let me repeat, 8th place...... A person by the name of Niklas Hjelm of Scandanavia decides he needs to keep his 8th place positioning and flat out wrecks me going down the backstretch.

I went psycho in the moment and made sure he got about 8 incidents to my 15. In the fixed set races, about 50% overdrive what they have. And, I have noticed on the oval side of things, it is mainly international drivers, and not North Americans. Idk why they feel it's ok to divebomb and block during the entire race. Racing is about give and take, keep taking, I am going to start using my bumper a bit more! I do not want to, but, I am getting tired of the nonsense.

So..... I managed to win one but I'm not sure I really did... But I did go from last to first (or 2nd lol)

Yes, there I am in 1st place, BUT I was 45 seconds BEHIND the guy who came in second. I was in second most of the race, the white flag came out a bit after the beginning of a lap, I did that one and 1 more, and the checkers showed when i was on the main straight. I crossed the line and it said I won. He immediately said WTF? I agreed. I'm not sure if he is protesting or something, but I guess we will see the results tomorrow. Based on the results right now it seems he was 1 lap short. Unless maybe the game was wrong the whole time and I was in the lead... hmm. There was a bit of a melee in the first couple of laps which jumbled things a bit, I hung back and just passed everyone.

/\ I've seen that happen before. If the guy that actually won had a bad connection and his car "blinked" as he crossed the start/finish line at any point during the race , that lap won't register. So he may have been leading but according to timing , he's a lap down. I'm not sure if that will be rectified through a protest.....maybe ?

I'd guess he must have blinked on the last lap, because I was in 2nd right up till I crossed the line, that sucks though they should fix that. I didn't notice this guy blinking but there was another guy in the race who was.

Jav
Perhaps he made a cut somwhere and ignored the black flag...

Hmm could have been that, but he had like 56 seconds on me not sure why he wouldn't slow down for that. If you ignore it long enough it gives you a time penalty?

It depends, if it was the race ends within the laps you have to respond to the penalty it'll asses the time penalty, Some people just don't know the flag system and will just stupidly argue with it. there's stories of it all over the forums from people who refuse to clean up their driving.

Just got my first win! Spec Racer Fords at Okayama long, I started 4th but was up to 3rd by turn 4. I snuck down the inside of second place on lap 5 after he made a small mistake on the last corner, and then pressured 1st for about five laps. He then gave into the pressure and binned it, giving me the lead with second place right behind me. I pulled out a 10 second gap by the end of the race, setting fastest lap. As a bonus, I also had 0 incidents.

Hmm, I would assume it would show a penalty on his results, but instead it looks like his last lap just didn't register. He only has 24 laps.

I'm guessing by now he didn't protest as the result has not changed.

Finished my first road race with the dallara indycar at laguna seca tonight, what a great series! Started 14th and finished 10th with only a few incidents, I'm happy with my debut :dopey:👍

Skip Barber.

Raced at Mosport. Didn't qualify so i started mid pack. Was moving my way into top 3 on the 2nd lap, when car in-front of me spun coming out of turn 2. I was half a car length behind, so i had no where else to go. Tried my best to avoid him but clipped him anyway. Bent my steering - limped around the whole lap to pit. I come out of the pits dead last (11th i think).

From then on, i made my way up, slowly but surely. I knew the rest of the drivers were having problems keeping the skippy on track as i noticed how i keep chopping off a chunk of time from everyone. I stayed conservative and stayed consistent all throughout - until i found myself passing for 2nd place by lap 16. Leader was about 15 seconds ahead of me. Chopped his lead by 2-3 seconds a lap. Tried my best to catch him, but i eventually settled for 2nd. Only 2 seconds from victory. Just needed 1 more lap to complete a nice little comeback.

The field wasn't that strong, but it was nice to pass all those cars 1 by 1.

That's exactly what it would show, been there before, penultimate turn at Okayama I get a cut flag, but beign the last lap with third place right on my rear bumper I just never lifted and the system took a whole lap from my results!

This guy was aggressive the entire race... I ran him clean at all times while he was blocking me. Finally, he took me out at the chicane here at Spa. A few laps later he did the same to another driver. People like this make me not want to race.

I raced against that guy alot this week in the Iracing news challange.
yes i saw also some agressive driving from him.

I want to race next season in a openwheel event. I am thinking about Star Mazda. From videos i have seen that openwheel cars intend to roll-over very quickly instead of breaking there suspension or other body parts...

That guy actually live close to me.. about 30km away.. Should I go knock on his door and kick his teeth in!! Moron driving!

I damn sure would. If only I lived close to some of these asshat drivers.

Pretty sure it's against the sporting code to post his name up. Regardless, that was such a bone head move. I hope you protested him, or at least sent him a private message asking for his side of the story..

I sent in a protest, along with the video. Normally, I let this type of thing go but it was so deliberate.

The SM car can easily break suspension. The smallest of hits will knock the toe out which is enough to ruin your race. You won't see this type of damage in replays though. For some reason the replays never show the suspension damage of other cars.

Thats not needed, atleast you don't have to do it for me. At some point everyone made a agressive move. Some more then others. There would be alot of teethless drivers in Iracing by the looks of it. Anyway if they live close enough to you. ;)

Anyway is it a friend of yours? You sound a bit tense...?

or at least sent him a private message asking for his side of the story..

How do you send a PM in iracing?:ouch:

I've been trying to get my clean race award.
Either I've screwed up and ran off track, or someone has knocked me off.
Finally this morning I pulled it off :)
InRacing Challenge @ Charlotte.
Got on the mic and told everyone to pass me on the start as my intention was not to challenge anyone for the win or position.
Right off the bat, big crash. Guy said his screen was stopping.
So I let them get back on the track as not to get hit.
Midway through the race, more of the same, I end up in the lead:nervous:
I'm still way off the lead pace, by about 5 seconds a lap.
I figure if I push, I might end up actually winning.
With 5 to go, my audio goes out and I almost blow the engine up
and come close to crashing. By the time that gets resolved the pack catches and passes me.
I started to get a real bad connection and thought for sure I was going to disconnect. Luckily that did not happen and I nursed it around to 3rd.
