Zero Cup: zero tuning (PS4) - STOPPEDPS4

Was this before the freakish grip falling away?

No tested about 16:00 today, it did feel odd but as l was racing against tuned cars (my choice) l was pushing just a little to much. The merc is easier but the bmw more fun.

EDIT: Bit of background for you Voofx:-
The tyre wear was off as hot lapping.
To simulate half race duration 7Ltr was removed.

So it seems that Vallelunga is currently no longer a destination for online races.
We shall still drive the Cayman GT4 Clubsport but the only destination available is Red Bull Ring GP. But that is not all...

Next week's GT3 race at Nurb GP GT is still ok for now.

The KTM can now only be raced at Red Bull Ring National. I'd move it one week later because we'll be in Austria tonight. Let's have a bit of a gap.

The Escort is no longer available at Zandvoort so I'd suggest a switch to the German series as you guys tried them a couple of times and seem to have enjoyed it. Some testing done by @C Fandango shows that the BMW and Merc are close enough. I don't know about the Alfa (guess we'd not use it?). It looks like you were racing at Imola? It's not an option this morning so I'd suggest Spa. With the switch mentioned above, the German Series would be for the 25th Jan.

GT3 at Brands Hatch GP is still ok.

This leads me to let you know about something else.

A few days ago I got a gaming PC. And in light of the recent changes in lobby options but no news about private/custom lobbies, sooner or later, I'm inevitably going to make a full switch to PC. Especially as I've managed to set up my PC as a server and my own private lobbies with fixed setups, passwords etc. (and no, it's NOT straightforward!!)

This leads to a number of questions, some of them I haven't thought about.
We're going to figure them out (the questions and the answers) together! :)

Oh and yeah, the console version is missing a ton of stuff the PC version has.
And that's without going anywhere near modding yet.

That is so bad. Vallelunga is such a fun track. Now it is gone from online. :(

So much for them saying the console isn't far behind the PC. The gimped version? It certainly feels everything about the console version when they add, they take other things away.

Yep, second that. Big Thanks to Warrius, its been a blast over the years. I guess the move to PC was inevitable really, I too have looked at iRacing (with my works laptop :sly:), but until I have a more dedicated space for a permanent setup i doubt i'll be moving to PC just yet.

FYI, myself an Bonio run a GT3 race online at Redbull, I've not been back to check the other circuits but for this one, the cars available for GT3 class had change from the norm.

there were 4 Ferrari's to use, the MP4-12C was removed, as was the SLS Merc, and a Z4 (i think), cant quite recall what else was missing, but if you have not checked already, best have a look.

We can only hope for Private lobby's to come sooner than later... :indiff:

Still, on a positive note, there is still a lot of Fun to be had with what we've got. 👍

Edit: oops DP!

True but it still doesn't deny the fact they are taking options away online rather than adding to.

I still think it is criminal the MP4-12C and several others if they are no longer available...

I guess they are assuming that a lot of people want to drive the Porsches and in general newly made available cars. Room has to be made for these. The way the lobbies are set up (including on PC by the way) is that you can't bring in any car of your choice. The selection of cars and even liveries is made at the time of setting up the server/lobby.

It has limitations but advantages also. Once you're in, there are no more loading times with opportunities for things to go wrong. It's all a balancing act.

Then they must have a limited number of servers available so they must have a limited number of lobbies available also. That said, there were TONS (aka 20+) of Clubsport/RRR lobbies available... :/

I'm sure the Zero Cup can still go on by itself (like it does on GT6), by the way.

@hobbsy I haven't looked at iRacing just yet. Just Assetto Corsa and RaceRoom (free-to-play with a very few cars), which is awesome sound wise.

I guess they are taking away some to replace with others! for instance the Red Bull Ring

If the GT3 class is the same on all tracks, as it was on Redbull ring, then that's a real bad move IMO.

It's easier to copy/paste the same line up on different servers. Also it provides consistency to run a series... well, as long as you give enough time for people to visit different tracks!! :D

Such a big shame about the Escorts at Zandvoort as me and Carlos had such fun times when we tested that before or was it during Christmas?

Is tonight your last race on the console, Warrius?

I really don't know how many more events I will attend on PS4.

I'm shortly going to start a thread to see if some people would be interested in racing stock cars with me on PC.
The Gtplanet community is predominantly Playstation based so I'm very unsure if there would be a strong demand.
That's why I'm expecting not to have to concentrate all my efforts on PC online just yet. I really don't know! :)

Speak with Mr @BrandonW77 if you have not already! I'm sure you know, but another Playstation-er who made the switch to PC, and from What I've seen, has a healthy relationship with AC ;) Plus he is always insightful on such topics.

👍

I won't be able to make it on Wednesdays, starting this week. If your ever online when I am, give me an invite I love racing.
Mondays and Thursdays would work better for me btw.

Hopefully, I'll be able to join you on the pc warrius, I'm waiting for my motherboard to come back from its rma trip...
