After a bit of a winter break, Turn 10 is gearing up for a third season of its Forza Racing Championship. Coinciding with yesterday’s big announcement, this season will be sponsored by Porsche, and it kicks off this weekend.

The approach is different this time around, with an Invitational starting the season. The event will happen at the flagship Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, and will feature a who’s who of the top racers from the last two seasons competing for $25,000 in cash prizes:

Local fans will be able to race against the elite drivers, as well as professional racer Matt Campbell (part of the Porsche team that came first-in-class at the 2017 Bathurst 12H).

Fans looking to catch the action online will be able to do so from the official Forza channels on Beam and Twitch.

ForzaRC Season 3 Elite and Recreation Series

For the rest of of the Forza community, Season 3 kicks off in early May. Like the previous season, this one will be held in both Forza Motorsport 6 (Elite Series) and Forza Horizon 3 (Recreation Series). Four weeks of competition will place players in a variety of Porsche machinery.

In the Recreation Series, players will be utilizing the recently-released Porsche Pack contents. Over in the track-focused Elite Series, the FM6 Porsche Expansion Pack will provide the rides. Conveniently, that pack is 75% off this week on the Xbox Store, meaning prospective players can pick it up for $5.

Looking to join? You’ll have to head over to new partner Gfinity’s registration page regardless of the Series you’ve set your sights on. Winners will be duking it out for $100,000 in prizes, while the Grand Finals will take place “at a special location”. Our money is on E3 2017…
