Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Nissan Dorma

There’s a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races available from today, with three new events for players to enjoy over the course of the next seven days.

This week’s events see players heading to three of the game’s real-world tracks, with all three of GT7’s game regions enjoying hosting duties as the USA, Belgium, and Japan are home to the track venues.

After a change a couple of weeks back, Race A sticks with the “No DR/SR” format, meaning that players will neither gain nor lose Driver or Sportsmanship Rating points. That more-or-less converts it to a region-limited public lobby race, on the same schedule as other Daily Races.

This week it’s a one-make race for the Nissan GT-R NISMO, the ultimate expression of Nissan’s tech-focused AWD muscle car. Among other things it sports turbochargers from the GT3 race car, as well as dramatically reconfigured driving dynamics.

You’ll be taking it to the newest location in Gran Turismo for the race this week, as Watkins Glen hosts the seven-lap race on the short layout. This skips out the “Boot” section, with the Outer Loop cutting back into the run to turn 10.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps hosts Race B this week, with a four-lap race for Gr.4 cars. This almost certainly means you’ll need a Nissan GT-R Gr.4, which has the best balance of handling and speed among the AWD Gr.4s. There’s no complicating factors here, with just Racing Hard tires available.

Finally there’s Race C, which heads to the Autopolis circuit in Japan. It’s a ten-lap race for Gr.3 machinery, so if you fancy going for the full set you can use a Nissan GT-R Gr.3.

Strategy isn’t particularly important this week, as there’s no mandatory stop, Racing Hard tires are the only option, and even at a 6x tire wear multiplier — so one lap generates six laps’ worth of wear — you probably won’t need to visit the pits. The last couple of laps might be hairy though.

In order to access the Daily Races, you’ll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe single player hub.

With GT7’s Daily Races updating every Monday thus far, the next new set should arrive on Monday October 10.
