This week’s new Online Time Trial heads out into California’s high desert. Gran Turismo 7 pairs the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gr.4 with the Big Willow layout of Willow Springs International Raceway on Racing Hard tires.
The SLS AMG Gr.4 is a long-serving car, carried over from GT Sport and part of the GT7 roster since launch. Its road-going namesake, built from 2010 to 2014, was the first car developed entirely by AMG, a gullwing-doored coupe with a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8. The Gr.4 version is Polyphony Digital’s own GT4-style interpretation.
The 2.5-mile, nine-turn loop of Big Willow in Rosamond has been running since 1953, making it one of the oldest continuously operating road courses in the United States, and it’s a fast, flowing lap with the long Turn 8 sweeper as one of its signature corners. The real circuit was also put up for sale back in 2024, if you have a few million dollars to spare…
As for targets, expect to need something under 1:28.000 for bronze, 1:24.000 for silver, and 1:22.000 for gold once the event closes.
The previous event continues alongside it: the open Gr.3 category at Suzuka Circuit on Racing Medium tires with Mid-Speed BoP, which arrived last week. The Hyundai Genesis Gr.3 continues to dominate the leaderboard there. That event closes on Thursday, September 17.

Online Racing Event

Accessing Online Time Trials
If you’re new to these events, you’ll first need to unlock Sport Mode by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe; our full unlock guide is here. A PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t required.
Once an event closes, rewards are paid out based on how close you got to the top time: gold within 3% (2,000,000cr), silver within 5% (1,000,000cr), and bronze within 10% (250,000cr).
A new event arrives every Thursday, each running for two weeks, with the oldest dropping off as each new one lands. The next new Online Time Trial arrives September 17.
