A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live through next Monday, September 21.
Race B is the one everybody’s talking about, and not entirely for the right reasons. It’s six laps of Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Gr.3 cars on Racing Hards, with a rolling start, High-Speed BoP, and brake balance the only setting left open.
On paper, that’s a classic combination. In practice, the Gr.3 field has narrowed considerably since the physics overhaul and BoP changes in Update 1.71, and the Hyundai Genesis Gr.3 has become the clear winner. It has held most of the top spots in the open Gr.3 Time Trial at Suzuka for two weeks running, and last week’s Gr.3 race at Dragon Trail was mostly a Genesis one-make in all but name.
That has produced a lively argument in our GT7 Daily Race Discussion thread. Some members are perfectly happy in the Hyundai. Others find it awkward to drive, are tired of seeing it fill every grid, and have been testing anything that might keep up with it.
Race A takes the question off the table entirely by putting everyone in the same car. The Porsche 911 GT3 (996) ’01 heads to Deep Forest Raceway for five laps on Sports Softs, with a grid start and false start check, Mid-Speed BoP, and all settings locked.
Race C is the longest of the week and the only one with any strategy to think about. It’s twelve laps of the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in Gr.4 cars on Racing Mediums, with a single mandatory pit stop, 2x fuel consumption, and 5x tire wear. Low-Speed BoP is in effect and brake balance is adjustable. Brands Hatch’s constant elevation change makes it one of the more physical laps in the game, and twelve of them on heavily worn tires will catch out anyone who’s been a bit too rough on their rubber.

Daily Races are the main ranked multiplayer events in Gran Turismo 7. Your Driver Rating (DR) and Sportsmanship Rating (SR) are updated after every race based on how you perform, and they determine your seeding for the game’s flagship esports series each season.
To get into Sport Mode in the first place, you’ll need to unlock it by clearing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe, and a PlayStation Plus subscription is required to race online.
With GT7’s Daily Races rolling over every Monday, the next new set should land on Monday, September 21.
