This week’s new Online Time Trial keeps things classic. Gran Turismo 7 hands you a Gr.3 car and sends you back to Trial Mountain, the long-running Polyphony original.
The combination is as pure as it gets: race-car performance on a track built specifically for Gran Turismo on Racing Hard tires. You can pick your car from the full Gr.3 roster, but it’s pretty obvious the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) is going to be the one to beat.

One Week Left at Barcelona
Last week’s Online Time Trial, featuring the newly added Yangwang U9 ’24 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix (No Chicane) on Sports Soft tires, has one week left to run before it closes on May 7. As you may recall, Yangwang itself is promoting the round with a real-world prize for the fastest 20 times, though details on eligibility remain thin.

Accessing Online Time Trials
To access the Online Time Trials, you’ll need to unlock Sport Mode by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe. PlayStation Plus is not required. Once an event closes, gold goes to players within 3% of the fastest time (2m credits), silver within 5% (1m credits), and bronze within 10% (250,000cr).
Events update every Thursday, with each challenge running for two weeks. The next new Time Trial arrives on May 7.
