This week’s new Online Time Trial is a Gr.3 free-for-all. Gran Turismo 7 opens the category up at Fuji International Speedway on Racing Hard tires, with Mid-Speed BOP in effect and settings fixed.
Fuji’s main straight is, as usual, the headline feature here. At roughly 1.5km it’s one of the longest in motorsport, and the lap runs about 4.5km in total, so top speed matters more than usual. The twisty final sector through the Dunlop and Netz corners pulls in the other direction, rewarding the cars that handle best, and that tension is why the BOP field isn’t a foregone conclusion.
So far the Jaguar F-type Gr.3 is the more popular pick, though it’s not completely dominant and a few others are in the mix. If you want a target, anything under 1:42.500 should be safe for gold once the event closes, 1:44.500 should cover silver, and under 1:49.500 should be enough for bronze.
Of course, the real-world Fuji has been a happy hunting ground for Gran Turismo drivers lately. Igor Fraga took his first Super Formula pole and full-race win there last month, so there’s some recent form to chase.
Continuing Events
Last week’s Maserati A6GCS/53 Spyder ’54 event on Blue Moon Bay Speedway’s Infield A layout, on Sports Hard tires, has one week left and closes on Thursday, November 12.
The Fanatec Gran Turismo Eifel Cup is also live in the same menu. That one puts everyone in the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) ’22 at the Nürburgring GP circuit on Racing Hard tires, with a Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel or a set of Podium Pedals Sport going to the fastest eligible player in each of three regions. Rankings close at 11:59 GMT on Monday, November 16.

Accessing Online Time Trials
Online Time Trials sit in Sport Mode, which unlocks once you’ve completed Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe. Our full unlock guide covers the route there if you need it, and a PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t required.
Rewards are paid out when an event closes, based on how close you got to the top time. Gold goes to anyone within 3% (2,000,000cr), silver within 5% (1,000,000cr), and bronze within 10% (250,000cr).
A new event arrives every Thursday, each one runs for two weeks, and the oldest drops off as the newest lands. The next new Online Time Trial comes on November 12.
